We keep coming back to Roundstone as the staff are so knowledgeable and happy to help you. I would estimate that 90% of our plants have come from here. The front garden has come a long way since our first visit. A huge variety of everything you would want in your garden can be found here. There is also a dedicated indoor plants building for those with a conservatory or such. They also have a farm shop which has a good selection of fresh fruit and vegetables along with other treats. Thanks to all of the staff for all of their help. See you on our next visit. The back garden looks bare compared to the front!
Really enjoyed picking yummy fruit and tasty veg here. Area is really clean and well maintained. Great idea for a family day out too
Parking is very easy and your minutes away from the entrance.nnThere are baskets and punnets offered at the entrance before you start picking.nnThe walk up to the strawberry field is somewhat long but it was enjoyable as the weather was good. They offer a tractor ride up to the strawberry fields but this in my opinion was very badly managed - it was overcrowded every time it turned up and whilst we were okay with walking, it would’ve been nice for the children to have got the chance to jump on board - it was almost like “mob mentality” - we’re on board and your not and no we’re not making room for you either and the driver was nowhere to be seen so we didn’t bother with it.nnThat aside, plenty to choose from; strawberries, berries were perhaps underripe and very tangy broad beans, onions, carrots, sugar peas tasted lovely raw.nnThe plums had all been picked and finished, so that was one of the let downs, seems that the plum picking section is rather small vs other parts of the farm.nnA nice day out providing the weather is good!
Good walk around the fields, but also option to take the tractor ride for tired legs. Not many raspberries and the strawberry crop is finished, but plenty of plums, beans, sweetcorn etc. But just a little warning that the board at the front is wrong, both columns are bulk over 5kg - or so the lady at the till insisted. So if you think you're going to be saving by picking 6 sweetcorn you won't, you'll still pay 60p each and not the discounted price of 50p.
Great place to visit for your day out with family. Can't expect lots of fruit in the summer season but got very good sweet corn and beans. There is no entry fee and also there is a free tractor ride for your family.
