Very interesting remnant of the first world war era. They've obviously lost some of their depth and are quite overgrown, but they still show the elements of a trench system from the period. Very atmospheric, and thought-provoking. Downsides: a very rough forest track with limited parking to get to the site. The trenches are about 100m from the track, and can be a challenge to find and easy to differentiate at first, until you realise what you're looking at.
Lovely hike up to the site, amazing game views once there. Very interesting and poignant
A pleasant moorland walk with a few map-marked archaeological sites.
A wonderful place to walk and at this time of year mid August the Heather is looking at it's best.
A Very Atmospheric place whom knows who trained in those trenches never to return home We all owe a great debt for our freedom
Not worth a visit, unless a special event on. as at ground level you wouldn't know you were at a trench system
