Absolutely shocking vets ,no compassion whatsoever.nnJack Russell Dog took here, told 4,000 he need ct scan, test xrays etc or put him downnntook to vets up road £260 had a slipped disc , imagine if had listened to them.nnThey are way overpriced also to other local vets
Brilliant Vets. We recently had to take our kakariki Artie to rosewood vets. Dr Antonio I believe his name was was recommended by our usual vets as being very good with birds. We had been to see bird specialists in the past in Birmingham and had awful experiences so we were very nervous about taking Artie. The receptionist was lovely and the vet spoke to Artie like he was a person not just a bird which we had not experienced in the past by bird specialists so we felt very comfortable with him. He was very mindful about what was best for Artie and that birds can get stressed very quickly. He gave Artie some antibiotics and told us to call back the next day if he was still alive so we weren’t wasting money buying the whole course of antibiotics if he wasn’t going to live. He was very genuine and treated us like he cared for Artie just as much. Unfortunately Artie passed away so my mom called the next day to cancel the antibiotics. We have just received a sympathy card, which we weren’t expecting. We are so pleased with this vets! We will definitely take our other animals there. Nowhere else I would trust with my birds.
Absolutely disgusting what they can get away with charging.nI took my cat on the Monday morning as I noticed he wasn’t himself, he wasn’t eating or drinking and wasn’t interested in anything except sleeping.nThe vet checked him over and said he was dehydrated, which is understandable, and the only other thing he could find wrong was when he pressed on his bowels he seemed uncomfortable.nHe then started to mention blood test, urine test, and all these other tests that I didn’t really understand, but as a loving pet owner and my cats being like my babies, I just wanted him better so said what ever you think he needs.nLong story short the bill was £1250 for a 2 day stay not even overnight on fluids and everything else they did that was certainly unnecessary.nHe actually came home after the first day and I had to take him back in the morning, I told the vets he seemed to have picked up and had eaten and drank and generally seemed to have improved….the vet said he wanted to keep him in again, at £122 for a day stay and £170 for fluids plus another £57 consultation fee, even tho they had seen him the day before…I’m not surprised.nI genuinely believe all the tests were unnecessary, a day on fluids to me would have been enough and then sent home to keep an eye on him, then do further tests if there was no improvement after a few days…..this was probably no more than a bug or something, and I was scare mongered into loads of tests that didn’t need done.nI’ve uploaded the receipts for viewing.nThis is not the end, I will be complaining in writing and if nothing is done I will be taking the matter further.
Receiving a phone call today to come and bring my 2 dead cats in for a vaccination appointment hurt me to the core. Considering we have told them twice but cats are deceased. It is because of this particular veterinary clinic that one of the cats died prematurely. Rather than performing an operation on my cat which we were more than happy to pay for twice so she could live, the vet insisted on providing worming tablets and antibiotics which were overall approximately £100 per visit. When we went to another vet to get a second opinion, her injury was infected and too far gone therefore they had to euthanise her. However, it was noted if just two weeks before that date, she would have had the operation, she would probably had been alive today as overall she was very healthy! Rosewoods could have just chopped operated on her tail and let her live! But instead they were money driven and let my cat die too soon. We will never bring another let there and we are very grateful for vets for pets who have looked after us since. Rather than being money hungry and life wasters. Gone but never forgotten my dear baby girl.
Really good vets. Thank you Verity for looking after my four rabbits over the last couple of days. An amazing vet. Very knowledgable and caring even under hard circumstances. So sorry I didn’t get the receptionists name but she was a real joy to talk too… very friendly and it’s clear she loves the pets that are brought in. This was Wednesday and Thursday evening this week. Thank you both
