We arrived quite late on the ground, 8 pm last check-in being 9pm. Nevertheless, a very sweet lady welcomed us right away with pitches still available. The showers and toilets are a bit on the dated side but work perfectly and are clean cleaned early in the morning as well. The campsite is lodged between trees making it extremely peaceful and quiet to stay at. Overrall, I recommend this campsite for people visiting Oban and its surroundings.
Lovely looking campsite, clean and practical facilities, Wi-Fi as well! Stayed overnight here before getting the ferry over to Mull the next morning 19 minute drive to the ferry port. Would be 5 stars but there was no cheaper rate for not using electric, so it was quite pricey for the night. Would definitely stay again though
Dated site but it was in walking distance of oban. But watch were you pick up. We found 3 big lots of dog mess in the long grass. We will try another site next time. But it did have free WiFi
Really pretty and welcoming campsite. Arrived at 12.30 no bookings so walk ins from 12 onwards, was sorted with a pitch within 5 minutes. Really well laid out and decent facilities, and extremely friendly owners - will return!
Basic and dated amenities. The pair who run this place should not be allowed anywhere near the public. They are both rude and ignorant. I can't recommend staying here if you prefer to be treated like a customer rather than an inconvenience. I have added a star because at least the facilities were clean, although they should be given that the place was almost deserted, in July! I can't imagine anyone staying here more than once. I certainly won't be.
I feel let down by other reviews who state that the toilets are clean etc. There are not! The mens has a blended stench of bleach and urine. Overall, the toilet block is about 10 years overdue refurbishment. The worst toilets in any campsite we experienced in our 2 week journey through Scotland. Secondly, as others have noted here, good customer service is completely absent. You will not receive a warm welcome here! Their approach to arrivals before 12 noon is 'interesting'. Having arrived at 11.30 am 30 minutes early, we explained we were early and didn't mind waiting until there were ready. FYI - they have a massive open parking area by reception. We were brusquely told to leave the site and return after 12 noon. I suspect the same would be if we had been 2 minutes early! They are obviously trading on the fact that there is limited campsite availability in the area. My recommendation ... seek a campsite further out of Oban and drive in when you need to.
I’ve never felt so uncomfortable at a campsite before. As a retired company director I’m astonished at their unprofessional attitude and lack of flexibility. Stayed one night and wouldn’t return.
Beautifully maintained, picturesque site w excellent, clean facilities. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Booked here last minute.. staff are very accommodating, lovely pitches with hook up etc..nice clean facilities. Lovely site
Lovely little site we found by chance, just a couple of miles from the town centre. Different areas for pitches, on different levels. Friendly owners. Toilet/shower block is old fashioned, but spotlessly clean with no complaints. Complimentary hair dryer.
