Very peaceful place for a walk, particularly pretty in autumn, when the leaves carpet the floor in shades of ochre, orange and yellow. This victorian cemetery which is still in use today is particularly worth a visit for thr Gretna Rail Massacre memorial. Here the country pays homage to all the young soldiers that died in the biggest railway tragedy in the UK, which happened during WWI.
Peaceful and well maintained cemetery. House of the Gretna Memorial to honour the 200+ people that died on the 22 May 1915 rail crash, outside the Quintinshill signal box near Gretna Green in Dumfriesshire, Scotland.

This is a royal scot mass grave and memorable story of how they came to be there train crashed before they had left Scotland and most were leithers a good story for you to research pj
