Friendly staff and great food although portion sizes were on the smaller side. The service was great but not very quick. There’s a section inside where we sat that still looks like a converted jewellery shop which was a little odd.
What a lovely and welcoming place. Rose cottage the food is lovely. Staff are very attentive and very helpful. Anyone who is nice to my dogs gets five stars from me definitely be back! And excellent prices food was magnificent
We had a light lunch and coffee today. A beautiful location with a well laid out interior and lovely garden. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The food was good and reasonably priced. It's worth adding that we'll be returning.
Great place to have a full English breakfast after a 7am walk. Brilliant service and friendly atmosphere. To top it off, their Nutella brownie smashed it with a cup of tea then napped for the rest of the day. I recommend goingFood: 5/5

Went here today with my Mum and Dad. Great little cafe in the heart of Castleton town centre with lovely food I had the gammon with pineapple then the bakewell tart with ice cream and friendly and professional staff. Highly recommended! :

Lovely place with a fabulous garden round the back. The menu is great and the specials board was too. Service was efficient and done with a smile. The food? Beautiful!! You will be spoilt for choice on where to eat in Castleton but this place takes some beating and it is reasonably priced too.
Excellent food! BUT veeery slow service and not particularly apologetic about it - we had to wait 45 for our lunch. This reduced our hiking time in the area. Not good.
We called at Rose cottage on a very rainy Saturday afternoon, with our daughter and two of our Granddaughters. Hot chocolate and all-round, not cheap,but you get a good experience,we all enjoyed the visit.Food: 4/5
