Nice and friendly, the food is fantastic, there's a really great cheat for smokers to be able to have a ciggy in the warm out of the way of non smokers, lovely old building, the atmosphere is really good, dogs are welcome and the staff are friendly and helpful. I couldn't drink on my visit but it seems the cellar is well kept with ales on tap.. is definitely recommend the visit! .. I'll be back
Had a lovely meal here at the Rose and Crown, fab service and the food was amazing. I tried the bubble and squeak as I've never seen or had it on a menu b4 and it was served with a side salad too. It was cooked very well and taste delicious I could have happily smashed another one partner had the faggots, mash and peas and said they were very nice too. Definitely would come back if we in the area again. Food & drinks: Amazing!
Had a really lovely evening with as generous a helping of hospitality as the food portions. Eats were absolutely delicious and of fresh ingredients. Welcomed our Frenchie with treats too. Great value, highly recommend!

Always nice and warm service. Food is good as well. Nice and cozy! They have a pool table,bar and dining area with outside space also.
Really disappointing Sunday lunch. No kids menu and and we certainly didn’t feel welcome. The place didn’t look anything like it’s website photos inside or outside. It’s drinkers pub and children are not welcome!
We arrived for a post funeral gathering and were greeted warmly, one area had been set aside for us. The buffet was laid out and the hot items brought out as we arrived so beautifully fresh. Drinks were put out as requested and the service was excellent, staff were on hand when needed but gave us the space to chat with our guests. Excellent value. We look forward to returning for one of their Sunday lunches soon. Highly recommend. Thank you.
This is a proper country pub, very dog friendly which is always a bonus. Nice clean place, with bookcases and books on beer. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food on the other hand is, absolutely perfect. The Mega mixed grill is a very full plate of happiness, with nothing else you could wish for on, all well cooked to perfection and no space left on the plate. My sister had the sirloin steak when was cooked just as required, the meats were tasty from start to finish. If you are in this area I would highly recommend it
