DO NOT BOOK AN APPOINTMENT AT THIS HAIR SALON YOU WILL REGRET IT THEIR OTHER REVIEWS ARE CLEARLY BY FRIENDS AND FAMILY AS THEY ARE NOT FACTUAL AND DO NOT DEPICT THE EXPERIENCE YOU WILL HAVE I have never written a review before in my life for anything but felt very compelled to do so on this occasion after my experience at this hair salon. I booked an appointment at this hair salon for a wash and blow dry/tong in person (I have medium length mixed hair). I was told that it would cost £30.00 altogether... My appointment was at 4pm the following day. when I got to the salon my hairdresser was still completing her last client so I was asked to wait... I waited an hour... When she finally did wash my hair she then left me at the wash basins with wet hair for nearly another hour while she went back to her other client. As I wasn’t having a treatment she just left me sat there with wet hair and didn’t even explain to me why I was left there, I wasn’t even offered a drink I ended up having to ask for one! When she did finally start my hair two hours after I had arrived at the salon she then rushed it and was blow drying my hair in huge chunks in order to finish it quickly. I’d heard the salon owner ask her to make sure they got to leave and lock up soon as she had things to do tonight while sat at the wash basins so that explains the rush... I was far from happy with the end result of my hair but as I’m not one to speak up or be confrontational I just wanted to leave so I could get out of there... But when I got to the till I had the shock of my life when I was told I owed £45 for my hair! When I asked why I was being charged £15 more then I was told I would be I was told by the owner that it was because they had washed my hair and used a “premium” product (Moroccan oil) to wash it with! When I stated that I wasn’t told it would cost more if I washed my hair at the salon and that different shampoos cost different prices she then proceeded to tell me that that was my hairdressers fault for not telling me but that was their policy. I then just paid the £45 I was being cheated out of and left feeling completely ripped off and conned. What salon charges you extra to wash your hair when you are having a blow dry, and then charges you extra depending on what shampoo they use! THEY ARE CON ARTISTS STAY WELL AWAY FROM HERE. This salons price list just has “starts from” prices which I now know is because this allows them to make up the prices as they go along. I had such high hopes for my experience here as I am desperately looking for a new hair salon as I’ve recently located to the area but it’s safe to say that this salon will never see me again. How they live with themselves when they are ripping people off day in day out is beyond me. The greed and lack of care of my hair they showed is their loss I guess as I would have returned as a customer if I’d had a completely different experience... STAY WELL AWAY

I have been attending Hair by Ronald Joyce for over 20 years I am NOT a family friend but I am a loyal client to the staff and owners of this prestigious salon in the heart of wood green. I have NEVER had a bad experience or been ripped off in this salon, they are extremely professional and are experts in there field of hair dressing and offer highly competitive prices compared to other hairdressers in the area. Please support our local hairdressers who have served the community for over 27 years .Thank you hair by Ronald Joyce for your positive output to your clients and ignore the negativity .
