It's was excellent, worth the price! I've booked my holiday with suns paper didn't know what I paid for as it was a last minute holiday. It went absolutely well...Craven was nice and cleared by Sarah. I'll say the activities space was quite small but the golf and the play area was absolutely good...my boys loved it! Around the area was absolutely good not many shops around but you can get away with local shops. We didn't do eat out and we enjoyed doing our little cooking in the caravan. Overall was worth going and...and don't miss the little train...
Booked a last minute weekend break nice site with plenty to do.Had a beautiful 3 bed owners caravan it was very well equipped had everything and more to make our stay great .the caravan was very clean added bonus was the veranda and right by the lake .The staff were friendly and polite .due to car problems we had to book another night but the receptionist couldn't of been more helpful in finding us another caravan to stay in .The only downside was the irregular opening times of the resteraunt this was I think because it was quiet which is understandable however did enjoy a lovely cooked breakfast on the Sunday .could do with a takeaway on site ?would of been great to take to the beautiful beach across the road found the site shop a bit expensive and limited in such things for this purpose. But on the whole really enjoyed our stay
The site was nice. Caravan was good and clean but no toilet roll upon arrival and not enough bedding either. The entertainment was great and kept kids amused. However, the restaurant was a let down. The food was nice but the tables weren't being cleared, people were having to move plates to get a cleared table and kids were playing football and knocking tables over in the restaurant whilst people were trying to eat. The toilets were a mess, having to watch where we stepped. The staff seemed very stretched to. This put us off eating here and went off site for meals after that. Would we come back? Probably not! We were at another Parkdean site earlier in year and it was a far better experience. We were going to book again next year but are reconsidering our options.
Great clean caravan and everything in order. Love the park as so close to the beach for our dog to run about on. This is the second year running this time of year and would definitely return again, the beach is absolutely wonderful for the pup to run around on. Dog-friendliness: Not allowed with you in the club house which is disappointing
It's well priced for a quick get away, was nice to have a holiday, bit of a pain that there is no 3g 4g 5g masts anywhere near for O2 making it hard to plan days out from there but you can use free WiFi in the show bar... if you trust it. The entertainment was OK, I think there could have been a bit more though. The pool was the perfect temperature, shame you have to book a slot rather than just go and jump in when you like but I guess if it was like that you wouldn't be able to swim I would definitely stay here again.
It has really started to come on recently. Many of the amenities have been updated. The clubhouse food and service have massively improved. There is still a fair way to go but four stars for the efforts so far.
Great break, accommodation, pool etc but Catering at the main Boathouse/Clubhouse a let down this weekend. Less than half a menu available, no lunches at all, no Kids menus and only a couple of things available for them, other dinner items missing not advised or known until food arrives and to cap it off the Tavern alternative has only half the pizzas and absolutely nothing else - no chips or kids food at all. Bit much for the whole weekend when nothing was said nor advised. Apparently a Head Chef didn't do any ordering. Be warned, bring your own food or try local places unless this is a one off blip
Nice place for a base to view the area. Caravan was spotlessly clean. Happy hour from 4 till 6 , 20% off your drinks. Sometimes hard to get served as staff chatting at end of the bar, and one poor girl running her socks off. Frustrating!!!!
Just back from a family weekend away. Perfect for a get-together of several groups with places to meet up and socialise but a caravan to retreat to for some peace and quiet. Surrounding area perfect for excursions and very convenient for the RHDR steam train.. The accommodation was well equipped, comfortable and absolutely spotless. Thanks for a great stay.
It's a lovely caravan park. Good and spacious swimming pool and playground ... Can stroll around the park .. beach is right opposite... Loved the dungeness area nice fish and chips shops, lighthouse ... Good place for holiday with kids Rooms: You have all types of accomodation here from basic chalets to high end caravans .. so plenty of options Playground: Really big and good playground
