Story

The Roger Billcliffe Gallery is Scotland's largest private gallery, occupying five floors of an early 19th century building in the heart of Glasgow.

The Gallery opened in 1992 and specialises in exhibiting the best of Scottish contemporary and 20th century painting and also displays a wide range of contemporary applied arts - ceramics, jewellery, metalwork, silver and glass.

Exhibitions change monthly and are primarily solo shows although group exhibitions are usually presented during the summer months.

Stumbled across some well lit artworks at night and took some photos -- see below.  Struggled to find the name of the gallery, noted it down then looked it up. It's one of the big galleries in Glasgow.  Judging by what they have in their window, this place is awesome.  I'll be back.

Invested in a couple of contemporary Scottish pieces and the gallery were very accommodating. Some wonderful art on display when we visited, just wish we had more money... Well worth visiting if you’re in the area for the excellent range of work on show.

Wide variety of modern paintings, ceramics and jewellery. Prices range from &lt; £100 to £1k+. Compact but with three floors. Staff friendly.

We thought this was a public gallery as in museum but it was a shop. We loved it. Three floors of interesting art, pottery, sculpture and the staff were informative.

Great exhibition of drawing. Wonderful show of range and variety, displaying great graphic skills. Knowledgeable, friendly and approachable staff

Always worth a visit to see the latest selection of art  they have on show.
