"Exmouth offers the best seafood with the best view! Our seafood restaurant in Exmouth is located next to the town slipway overlooking the beautiful Exe estuary. The tide rips past the front of the dining room providing the perfect setting to enjoy freshly cooked seafood. Our chefs prepare sustainably caught, local fish simply by crisp frying, grilling or cooking over charcoal. On fine days we also have seating on the deck outside where you can enjoy drinks overlooking the water. On colder days you can warm up inside the restaurant next to the log burner and keep cosy from the sea breeze and watch the fishing boats go by."

We heard a lot about this place so we gave it a try. We went to the branch in Exmouth, it has a sea view which is always a great addition to any restaurant. We ordered cod fillet with chips, haddock fillet with chips, green salad, mushy peas, and a couple of drinks. The food was really good, it came in hot and fresh. Everything tasted great, we loved everything. The service was good for a place that was really crowded I advise you book in advance. Lastly, there is an indoor and an outdoor seating area which I really liked.

I emailed ahead to ask if we could have a nice table if possible for my fiancees birthday and we got one of the best tables and service we've ever had in a restaurant. The food was excellent and it was overall a brilliant experience. Unlimited chips were a bonus! It was our first time in Exmouth & Rockfish and because of this meal, we cannot wait to come back and visit both again. Highly recommended.

Fabulous fresh fish cooked in a modern way. Superbly presented food. Absolutely delicious. Our table was by the window with a fine view out to sea. Great atmosphere, friendly staff, I especially liked the shipping forecast in the toilets, listen to the answerphone message for a sample of it.

Perfect fish restaurant. Wide variety of fish. The indoor terrace has the perfect view of the sea. We had the mussels and the Rockfish taco's, both of which were excellent. highly recommended.Food: 5/5

This place was amazing! Staff were very attentive, and our server Steve explained everything available on the menu in detail, what item he would recommend which was near enough the cheapest on the menu and even made sure we knew how to fillet the fish. We could flag him down any time for any questions, extra drinks, or a refill of the bottomless chips, which were great. Will absolutely be returning, the service was top notch, the food was sublime and the location was stunning. You have two go there if you get the chance!

Google maps is not accurate about the price - Rockfish is expensive. However, with the high prices comes one of my top 5 dining experiences in England to date: excellent, friendly service with a majestic view of the open sea.  The oysters, scallops and fish were indisputably Michelin star quality. Will absolutely make time to come down to Exmouth again just to eat at Rockfish!

Visited Saturday for lunch, with my wife. Seated in the indoor terrace, with great views of the sea. I ordered the Turbot and my wife had the Haddock, all was cooked perfectly. £62 pounds for two mains and two drinks, so not a cheap place to eat but in my opinion worth the extra cost for the view and ambiance.

Rockfish never fails to impress and is our favourite place to eat in Devon. The waiting staff are always very knowledgeable, in particular Joanne at our most recent visit and the food is delicious and fresh, straight from the sea. Thanks again for another great meal.

Had a couple meals here was excellent both times the food was fantastic both the fish and chips with there unlimited chips and the calamari the service was also  great . The heaters outside are a little powefil on the head but they are happy to turn on and off as needed.Food: 5/5

I am already a massive Rockfish fan and only have been to the one in Exeter, closer to where I live. The one in Exmouth was equally nice, amazing staff, same fresh food and great service. It's always a pleasure eating here and I cannot recommend it enough to all the fish lovers out there!
