Highly recommended if you are visiting Lyme Regis. It’s a beautiful hotel with great staff that are friendly and helpful. The rooms are lovely and comfortable with great views of the sea if you book a room with a view. It is situated right on the beach front so everywhere is assessable within a few minutes. Ellie is a lovely young lady who greets you with a smile always. The food is highly recommended and the breakfast is second to none. I will definitely be stopping here again the next time I am in the area.
Lovely cosy pub right by the sea. Amazing pictures throughout showing all the historic events of the pub and surrounding area. Great selection of drinks and free sift drink after first order for those who like to stay on the right side of the law. Nit just limited to coke and lemonade too but all soft drinks whivh came as a surprise. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Food was at prices I would expect and we were going to try the lunch menu but they had no toppings for the burgers so we went elsewhere. Did come back after some chips as it was such a nice atmosphere. Toilets were very clean but quite a long steep staircase to get to them. Nit an issue for me but an elderly lady was obviously finding it a bit arduous. Fantastic views from each side of the bar. Didn't explore the whole place but I expect its the same throughout. Definitely worth a visit if you like a tipple with a view!
My sister & I had an impromptu meal here before a gig at the Marine. We were tight for time & we only had an hour on the table so ordered lots of sides. The food was speedy & of pretty decent quality. The pasta starter was especially tasty. We shared the chocolate mousse on the waiter’s recommendation to share and it was INCREDIBLE. They had slight staffing issues, but after the couple of years that we’ve had, they did a good job.
The perfect place to stay for a visit to Lyme Regis and its spectacular surroundings. Comfortable rooms with all amenities, superb location right in the centre and on the beach, and a real country pub with delicious food and an ample selection of beers and wines. The staff was friendly, helpful, professional and went out of their way make my stay unforgettable. Most highly recommended!!!
Popped in for pre dinner drinks around 5pm. By the time we left at 6.30pm the bar and restaurant had filled up nicely. Nice atmosphere and very friendly staff. Sea views across to Portland.
Came with friends for evening meal. Booked and had a reserved table. The staff had masks but seemed as though very few customers did wherever they went. We all had the market fish which was halibut with various veg. plus beers to go with it. The fish was lovely both in quality and quantity and the veg was very good. The service and ambience was very good. Cost was £32 per person for main course and a couple of beers each. I would go back again
Lovely B&B pub guesthouse with wonderful sea-front location for visiting Lyme Regis. Our room was small but cosy and well-appointed. Breakfast was superb quality lots of it and our evening meal was excellent gastro-pub. It gets busy at the weekends a good sign but the service was still great. Tricky parking unless you're happy with a walk. Not the cheapest guesthouse, but we had a lovely weekend and great way to celebrate another milestone!
Staff managed to squeeze us in last minute on a rainy Sunday lunch. Staff were friendly, polite and welcoming and we were very well looked after by Johan. Excellent Sunday lunch in cosy, stylish surroundings with seaside views across Lyme Bay, doesn’t get much better.
The location is the best. But the No 8 and 9 rooms are different entrance with narrow stairs. There is a king size bed in the small room. Also there is a wet room. It will be better for a single person, but for a couple, the room is too small. The breakfast is very good, you can see the river under the restaurant.
Wonderful pub with very welcoming staff, nice atmosphere. Toilets are brilliant and drinks are really good quality no watering down in sight. Would recommend and visit again. One of the best drinking locations on the south coast!
