I'm sure if you like burns this is the place to go, but I have had his life history drilled into me every year at burns night and been tortured through reading his poems in a Scots accent (I'm English) so I think I have a bit of a complex against him ha ha. Having said that, the cottage was interesting and there were some nice artistic representations of his work. Worth a visit, but for me not a long one. SORRY!!!

Have been here a lot as I stay beside It, on my last visit I was met with a young girl & asked for money to go into the museum. I think it's awful as I had been in before as wasn't asked for money. The cafe is lovely with great food. 🍰 ☕ 🍞 👍

The cottage where Burns was born is modest, as you might expect, but combined with the museum and the derelict church and bridge that featured in his most famous poem, Tam O'Shanter, make the visit worthwhile.

A fascinating centre filled with local history and it has a cafe and toilet facilities which are very clean and well maintained. The gift shop is a bit expensive ;however it does cater for those one off mementos for visitors who are seeking unusual local memorabilia.
