Haven't visited properly for a long timenBut had a lovely picnic with my family yesterday; weather was good apart from an occasional shower which we took shelter under one of the beautiful trees and kept completely dry.nnNice wide open spaces with lovely trees and plenty of spaces to sit away from other people.nWas nice sitting on the grass listening to the river and watching the boats go by.
We walked down for the music in the park, and saw the Beards. The meadows themselves were very well maintained, and looked lovely! So much space for children to play, but also to have a picnic! The toilets weren't the best... they were open hurray, but they are never going to be a 5* toilet... they are cleanish, and basic... great if you're desperate or going onto an onward journey. Car parking isn't great... there isn't loads when it's hot, sunny days... and it's expensive as to be expected
It was my first visit as I entered my classic car into the show there so I never entered the building. Outstanding grounds and well organised. Really worth a visit
Great place eny time of year for family fun single people who just like a nice time also super for dog walks. The occasional events are spectacular come and see for yourself
Went yesterday on a lovely sunny day and liked loved running round on the field and playing while having a picnic.nDogs are often off the lead and do come up to u we had several loose dogs come up to us and owners calling them away as we had a baby on the group.nLocal toilets in the car park which is also ideal as close by for children and was kept clean and tidy the entire time we was there.
