Really enjoyable first visit to the gardens. The Walled Garden was beautiful, the maze was fun, the rock garden, ferns and pool delightful.nnIt is steep to get to the top but the maze was worth it.nnIt was only 16°-19°C and sunny but the trees cut the wind so it felt warm in the sun.nnThe cafe is really good and the coffee was excellent but isn't cheap. The team are really good and the tables were constantly being cleared so it was an enjoyable dining experience.nnWe enjoyed our first visit and would come again at different times of the year to see the bluebells or the azaleas/rhododendrons in bloom.
Garden was impressive. We probably went between growth season but still plenty of colour. Just so disappointed with the cost of the cafe. I thought NT places were a bit steep but this takes first place.
If you enjoy walking around well kept gardens and well thought out family spaces along with many other people then this is a good place to go. Lovely coffee shop even if a little pricey.
Had an amazing all day exploring these amazing gardens Rhodadendrons lush blooming trails Blue bell woodland walk Get lost in the maze Plenty benches to stop and have a picnic along the trails Casgading waterfall rock garden and a great cafe to set you up on your onward journey and a tea and cake finish Loved the Space and place Will be backnOnly one toilet at the cafe so make sure you go before Child friendly
I and my daughter love this place. Good for kids to spend half a day in nature and fresh air.
