Lovely, chilly walk today Boxing Day around the Knole estate. Wonderful scenery, National Trust coffee shop open and welcome to thaw out to afterwards. Highly recommended location to visit.
Wow. We absolutely loved it at Knole. I knew there was a deer park there, but I’d not realised that it was also a National Trust property with a stunning house to look around too. The deer were our main reason for visiting and it was incredible how tame they are, we were able to get quite close to them, although did keep a safe distance about 20 metres as it was rutting season. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it, fabulous place.
Beautiful park, especially to witness autumn colours. Impressively large with plenty of walking trails not flat. Given the size of the park, we didn’t see any deers on our visit, maybe next time.
I love this park and have visited at least annually for the past 26 years! You can visit the house or walk the grounds or just enjoy golf nThe walks are well signposted however, the map in the booklet would be more helpful if it includes landmarks for walkers not following a specific path when they get lost nIt's good for family walks as well and there's a picnic area.
Wonderful deer park. Perfect for days out with the family. The house is an option for a ticket price but we love just exploring the park. Dogs on leads. The park is free and you can walk in from the town. Parking by the leisure centre is concurrent.nnAlso great for seeing where The Beatles filmed some music videos if you are a fan.
