Easy access/manouvering for caravan newbies. Very clean amenities, lots of trees and grassed areas. Plenty gravel pitches. Nicely laid out. Very nice dog walking areas, plenty nature things to look out for. Tiny shop for essentials and little treats. Suggestion is to arrive for 1pm in order to let others leave the site (by around noon) as the lead up road is more or less single but it does have passing places if you meet a straggler. If you do arrive earlier the shop is closed until 1pm, so at the shop stop and drop your membership card through the letterbox, go find a spot you want to pitch in then go back at 1pm to let them know where you are and pay for your stay. I would recommend prebooking.

Quiet rural site away from main roads. Nature walks at the site. Top quality shower block. Friendly wardens. All good.....

We spent a night camping here as part of our holiday touring Northern England and the Scottish Borders. What a lovely place! Our children aged 6 and 3 loved the site. There is a nature trail which we didn't get to fully explore but as we are going back in a few weeks we will be checking it out. The wildlife in and around the campsite is fascinating and visitors regularly update a blackboard with sightings of different animals. We ourselves used this as we saw an owl flying over the camping area and the next morning spotted a snake (which my daughter almost stood on) in the adjacent nature reserve. If you are tenting here you may want to take a few extra pegs as the ground is quite rocky, and would also advise insect repellent as being near the water you get a lot of midgies. The facilities on this site are the best i have seen with numerous hot showers and clean toilets. There is also dishwashing and laundry facilities not to mention a small shop well stocked with essentials. During our stay we were also lucky enough to get food from a fish and chips van which was on the site and comes on different days throughout the week. I can't recommend this site highly enough!

A wonderful site for those who love a natural surrounding. Lovely nature walk right on site. Usual club high standards all around site which is run by friendly staff. A great base for exploring Northumberland. We stayed with our Grandson who had a great time visiting the many historic castles in the area.

Lovely friendly site. Immaculately clean showers and toilet block. Nice little shop on site selling milk, eggs, sweets for the kids etc. Staff are lovely and very helpful. They were lovely with our kids who are 8 & 5. Nice nature walk really close where you can paddle in the stream with picnic tables dotted about. We will definitely be back. One of the nicest places we have stayed.
