I was really skeptical after seeing all the low reviews but over the weekend I was in agony with my upper and lower wisdom teeth on the right side and booked in here for an emergency appointment. Was told to turn up early and ended up waiting over half an hour to be seen. I explained to the dentist that I'd just had two teeth removed three days prior and I was unsure about having teeth out on both sides at the same time but he was insistent that the only way to stop the pain was to have the teeth removed and disregarded any notion of antibiotics or any alternative methods to help settle the pain. I then tried to explain to him about how I was a nervous patient - I suffer from anxiety and have a lot of dental treatment over the years not all of which positive - the dentist didn't seem to pay much attention to this but rather went straight ahead in administering local anesthetic. In contrast, when I got my teeth removed three days prior, the dentist talked me through the procedure, made small talk to calm me down and did his best to reassure me that I was going to be okay. With this guy, speed seemed to be of the essence and I wouldn't be surprised if that stemmed from the appointments running late. It most certainly didn't make me feel any better. During the extractions I raised my hand a number of times to indicate stress and pain. Where my other dentist had stopped, calmed me down, making sure I "had a good experience", the dentist at Ringway didn't stop. Now with extractions you're supposed to feel a lot of pulling and pressure but no pain - that's what the local's for. I felt pain. Intense pain which shot up my jaw, which was made worse with every pull. My hand being raised and my moans of pain got little recognition other than a "well done, it's okay" from the nurse. And I'm not faulting the nurse here, that's all she really could have done to help me. But perhaps if I had been treat with a bit more compassion and care rather than haste I would have been more relaxed and less stressed in the situation. My heart was going really fast which is not something I felt at the other extraction days before. As for aftercare, I was told a couple of sentences which I can't remember about what to do - I was given no aftercare sheet and as soon as I left the room I burst out crying. I was in shock from the whole experience. Now, I'm not saying he didn't do his job but I'm saying he didn't help me or look after me, I felt awful and upset. In contrast I was smiling and cheerful at the other extraction simply down to the how nice and welcoming the dentist was. The dentist here really does practice tough love. Things to note: The receptionist was lovely and really caring and considerate. If you are a nervous patient PLEASE shop around. I recently moved to Preston hence why I had to book through the emergency route. I can' remember the dentist's name but he was white and in his 50's. I have no experience with any of the other dentists here so for all I know they could be lovely. Overall I am still quite upset about the experience and quite frankly in shock. Good luck to anyone reading this.

I went here with an emergency Sunday arranged by phoning 111 appointment for a significant infection which had caused visible swelling to my face. The dentist was brash and informed me that I only get a quick 10 minutes and not full treatment as it's just a £21 emergency appointment. He gave three injections then squeezed out what in his words he described as a "Volcano of puss". I requested antibiotics and he refused saying I didn't need them. 3 days later I have visited my own dentist who was shocked and disturbed by my infection and couldn't believe any dentist would let anyone leave their surgery with an infection so bad without antibiotics. I am now an two sets of antibiotics concurrently as he is concerned for my total health (not just my dental health) if this were to spread. I can only describe my care at Ringway Dental Centre as negligent.

I wish I could put no starts. I attended here on a emergency app. Receptionist is deluded and needs a reality check.. Her attitude was absolutely disgusting. She should be ashamed Dentist and nurses where no Better. If they smiled their face might crack. Please go somewhere else and get care.

I would give 0 if I could do. Last year they left a piece of teeth in my husband's gum. They said it cannot cause any further problem. A few months later he got a new teeth instead of the missing one in Hungary. Now, a year later he started feeling some pain so I called the emergency on Sunday.Despite is an emergency we got appointment only on Monday. I was not worried because I thought at least he will be treated. We went there had to wait more than half an hour paid the £20 and spent in the examination room about 2 mins because the doctor said the pain is not caused by the teeth piece which was left in his gum it is caused by the new prothesis because the prothesis and the gum connection is very poor... at least they should have given antibiotics or something. Now his gum is getting bigger and bigger. Spent there only 2mins got no treatment but they were happy to accept the 20pounds. Absolutely ridicuolus service...
