Welcome to RIKFIT Autocentre part of the the www.rikfit.com group, independently owned and operated. Established in 1968 originally trading as Rikkis Autos from our stirchley location. We have many years of experience in the automotive and tyre industry and have a reputation for fast and efficient service with prices second to none. Mobile tyre fitting service, we can come to you at home or work. Our vehicles are equipped with the latest tyre fitting and electronic wheel balancing equipment. All tyres fitted include free valve, free fitting and free wheel balancing. A call out charge may apply depending on your location.

For your safety and economy we are equipped with Supertracker computer wheel alignment equipment. This is a four wheel tracking system that enables front and rear wheels together with the steering wheel to be aligned at the same time, complete with computer print out. Incorrect alignment is one of the major causes of uneven tyre wear, as is incorrect wheel balancing both of these can also reduce tyre life considerably. Drop by for a free check.

A regular engine service is paramount to extending the life of your vehicle. If defects are spotted in time then the cost to rectify the problems are considerably less. The tyres will last longer, greater braking efficiency and reduced off road time because of break downs.

A cambelt should be replaced at manufacturers recommended intervals if a cambelt is not replaced and breaks then more often than not extensive and expensive engine damage follows. For advice and help on this please call in and see us. Replacement of cambelts can be a complex job requiring specialist knowledge and technical information.

All cars three years old and over are required by law to have a valid M.O.T test certificate. The standards and requirements of the M.O.T test are laid down by V.O.S.A the vehicle inspectorate. An M.O.T test can be carried out on a vehicle up to 28 days prior to its current expiry date. Upon passing the M.O.T test your vehicle will receive a M.O.T pass certificate.

The M.O.T test is an annual test of your vehicle to ensure it meets the road safety standards set by the vehicle inspectorate. The test is carried out by an approved tester together with an assistant.

NOTE: Only the items that require testing on an M.O.T test are valid, an M.O.T pass certificate is not a guarantee to the general mechanical condition of your vehicle.

We use the latest Snap On Fault Diagnostic equipment. Most modern vehicles today contain an on-board computer known as an Engine Control Unit (ECU) which continually monitors the performance of the vehicle. Sensors all around the vehicle report back to the ECU if there are problems such as low fluid levels or increased engine temperature. When an issue is identified the ECU generates an error code.

There are literally hundreds of potential error codes that can only be read by specialist vehicle diagnostic equipment. While a warning light may display on the dashboard alerting you to an issue, a diagnostics check is required to understand the full extent and cause of the problem.

We use state of the art Snap on car diagnostic equipment which can read the engine fault codes in your ECU’s memory. Our fully-trained technicians can then suggest any necessary repairs to get you back on the road and rectify the error.
