Last night 9th July 2016 me and my friends were trying to be served at the bar. Unfortunately it was the rather overweight young lady's with dark hair turn to serve us but she was acting as if she was too hot and important to serve us.she was rude and aggressive. We had to be served by another member of staff at the other end of the bar. If you employ people with such body confidence and attitude make sure they are at least better looking. And give them some basic customer service training because that was just low.

I left my jacket and jumper at Rift and thought they were lost forever. I was only up there for a night, so called back after a few days and the manager Paul found my stuff and posted it back to me. He wouldn't take any payment from me, so the least I can do is let everybody know what an honest guy he is and share my gratitude. It goes without saying that we had a great night in there, given that I had forgotten that I had left my jacket in there in the first place!! Thanks Paul.

The stinking and vomit-tasting beer we got probably either came from a keg that hadn't been changed for weeks or there simply doesn't seem to live a sense of necessity to clean the tap's plumbing every now and then. The cushions on the benches were filled with stains.  Based on all previous information we didn't really feel like ordering any food, partly because my appetite got lost somewhere between sitting down and having a whiff of the beer, partly because my faith in the cleanliness of the kitchen had evaporated quite quickly.  It was well heated, though.

Extremely rude bar staff. I will never be visiting here again and would recommend that anyone who wants to enjoy their night/day out drinking or eating, stay away from this place. Absolutely disgraceful.

Tried it out on a early Thursday night,  not very crowded. Some drinks can be very expensive,  but if you stick to the real ales on offer you can get away with a least 2 good ales under £2.  They also do very good meal deals.  Lots of different seating places,  and they have cubicles for private tate a tates.  For some reason it seems very popular with the women,  they tend to be in groups of 2 or more and use it as a stopping off point before going on to other things.  Usual multi seating,  tables, high tables in centre,  large open stairs to first floor ladies.   Outside smoking area.  All the usual lager choices and designer beers.

Called for breakfast this morning. 241 all day breakfast @ £6.95. About 8 quid with drinks and in fairness very good. Keep it up.

Not bad food staff pleasant would come back again. Overall enjoyed it.
