Story

Rick, Jill and the family are delighted and proud to have opened our new restaurant at Tideway Yard, Mortlake High Street, Barnes – formerly known as The Depot.

Guests can enjoy some of Rick’s most iconic dishes such as the Dover sole a la meunière and salt and pepper prawns as well as a selection of new dishes including stifado, a rabbit stew inspired by Rick’s travels to Greece, with caramelised onions, red wine, cinnamon and currants. Alongside the a la carte menu, we’ll also offer a set lunch menu available Monday to Friday.

Such a special evening at Rick Stein in Barnes last night. We went there for our one year wedding anniversary and were surprised with a wonderful treat at the end our dinner! The staff were friendly and welcoming. Beautiful location and decor. The food was amazingly delicious and topped off by some scrumptious cocktails. We will most definately be back next year :) thank you Rick Stain in Barnes

Had a very enjoyable evening last night at this wonderful restaurant. It is situated on the banks of the Thames River at Barnes which I can imagine makes it a popular restaurant. The food was exceptional and I can say having eaten in many of Stein's restaurants this was without doubt the best meal I have had. The staff were great very polite and helpful especially Evan how was really helpful and attentive. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone.

One of the most enjoyable evenings have had in a while, the setting is fantastic, food was great and the service even better. I didn't quite like what I had ordered for my main and before I could even say anything the waiter noticed gave me a menu and changed it in the space of about 4 minutes - some of the best customer service I have ever had! Thank you Gennaro Couldn't recommend this place highly enough.

A very smooth transition from the much respected Depot to this incarnation has been achieved, retaining some of the Depot staff, which made us feel at home. Food is good value, given the importance of a name such as Rick Stein. Service levels now higher because there are more staff. Booking activity a bit hit and miss.

Seafood heaven! Maybe not as adventurous as other great seafood restaurants I've been to recently but all the food looked and tastes great. Great service and cocktails by Mr Lyan. Very nice evening
