Story

Rick, Jill and the family are delighted and proud to have opened our new restaurant at Tideway Yard, Mortlake High Street, Barnes – formerly known as The Depot.

Guests can enjoy some of Rick’s most iconic dishes such as the Dover sole a la meunière and salt and pepper prawns as well as a selection of new dishes including stifado, a rabbit stew inspired by Rick’s travels to Greece, with caramelised onions, red wine, cinnamon and currants. Alongside the a la carte menu, we’ll also offer a set lunch menu available Monday to Friday.

Absolutely beautiful experience at Rick Stein Barnes. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt warm, elegant and incredibly relaxing. The restaurant has such a cosy yet sophisticated vibe, especially in the evening with the soft lighting and beautiful outdoor area. Every corner feels thoughtfully designed and welcoming.nnThe food was excellent — fresh, full of flavour and beautifully presented. You can really tell there is attention to detail in every dish. The service was also outstanding: friendly, attentive and professional without feeling overwhelming.nnWhat I loved most was the overall ambience. It’s the perfect place to unwind, enjoy good food and spend quality time in a peaceful setting away from the busy city atmosphere. Whether for a special occasion, date night or simply a relaxing dinner, this place feels genuinely special.nnHighly recommended and definitely somewhere I would return to again.
Had a wonderful dinner catch-up with a friend at Rick Stein Barnes. We were treated to a beautiful sunset over the river, which created such a relaxed, elegant atmosphere for the evening.nMy friend’s Indonesian Seafood Curry was fragrant and bold, and my whole sea bass was perfectly cooked and incredibly fresh. We finished with a silky panna cotta that was the ideal light ending to the meal. Service from Razin was attentive and professional without being overbearing. Highly recommend for high-quality seafood with a view.
We’re the fans of Rick Stein in sandbanks and decided to try this one. We set in a corner table which was nice and cozy , by the window, overlooking river Thames. I ordered crab starter and I didn’t feel any crab in it… main course some sort of fish was nice but not wow. Nothing that we ate was that impressive as it is in sandbanks branch , which is quite disappointing. But I cannot say that something was bad neither. Just not impressive, average, no wow factor. Service was nice though. I think in warmer months it’s a lot nicer to sit by the window so we consider going back in March and see if we enjoy it more
Celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and had an absolutely wonderful timenThank you to the staff and especially Marianna our waitress who was very attentive and knowledgable.nThe atmosphere was really pleasant and the food was amazing. It’s a really nice setting, we were seated near the windows by the Thames and you forget that you’re in London.nI cannot recommend this place highly enough.nThank you to everyone and it was a lovely touch at the end which really made the evening.
