The Station is beautifully restored and you could spend quite a bit of time browsing and buying. The food in the cafe is really nice, the staff are all very nice too. The bakery and brewery were closed that day. The ice cream parlour is great, they have a wide variety of gorgeous ice cream. There's seating areas outside.
Great place to meet up, have food and see local crafts. Visited the art and bead jewellery shop. Beautiful. Well done ladies. Gorgeous necklaces , and the pictures have alot of feeling in them.
It’s a lovely place and the cinema is great. The food in the cafe is very nice, but the day we went, the service was incredibly slow. All the staff are very polite and helpful, just slow at producing the food orders.
Called in for a quick cake and a coffee on a nice Saturday afternoon.nNo cake left, most of the 'shops' were closed. The film theatre was open and showing films, and there was an eclectic selection of paintings and artefacts on sale/display.nService reasonably quick and attentive, Two waiting staff and manager and someone in the kitchen fairly quiet with a steady flow of customers.nMy wife's homous and flatbreads a nice offering, very well presented and just the right size for a pre sing top up.nMy ham and black pudding fritter, very tastey, beautifully crispy on the outside, melt in the mouth inards, and not at all salty. More like beef cheek than ham..but that's not a problem for me.nCoffee, my flat white was pretty much as I expect*, but good enough for me to enjoy two cups.nAll in all not a cheap meal but pretty much par for the course.nIf I were passing through Richmond again I'd certainly go back if only to browse in the unopened but interesting looking; Artisan bakery, brewery, and sample an Archers ice cream.nI can see that if you included a film you could easily spend half a day there.n* few flat whites can equal what for me is the definitive offering of New Brighton's artisan roaster 'Switch' in New Zealand.
The best cinema I have been to. Small, great films and a coffee, beer or glass of wine as you watch.
