YUM! Amazing food and amazing drinks. It didn’t explicitly say on the menus that all the coffee drinks could be decaf, so there was a moment of having to go out of the way to ask, but delicious. The food, seriously, so delicious, we were only on a weekend holiday, and we had anticipated coming back a second time, but just didn’t make it! Next time!
Redroaster has been reliably good and didn’t disappoint on this visit. A quiet pre-Christmas day so easy to get a table. Staff are friendly and relaxed. The roast cod on rosti was very good possibly a little one note - a contrast flavor/texture would have added something. The poached eggs on sourdough were appreciated. My oat flat white was excellent. The ambience is still strong. We will be going back!
Nice place. Food was good but I thought a little expensive for what it is. The avocado on toast was nice but you do just get two chunky strips of toast- one with avocado and the other tomatoes. The fry up was good but no beans and so was the Christmas burger. The waitress was really nice but got a few things wrong, but that was fine! The drinks here are really nice!
We came here for dinner, excited to try out some northern Thai food. Everything was quite lovely staff, interior vibe etc. especially the ox tongue dish, the meat was so tender and soft Sadly the food overall was let down by how salty we felt everything was, especially our Drunken Noodles dish . It was unbearably salty and difficult to palate. They kindly took it back and replaced our dish, which came back slightly less salty, but still too salty for our liking. The waitress was kind enough to take it off our bill, which we really appreciated! I'm sure the restaurant is great otherwise, so maybe it was just our bad luck that we went there on an off day.
The atmosphere and interior of this place is nice and pretty. The staff and service was good too. I order the lobster club sandwich which came with a side of fries. The club sandwich was quite bland and the prawn toast was too oily completely destroying the lobster. The fries and side sauce were good. It was pricy and with the taste I would not say it is worth it. I wouldn’t comeback for the food, maybe only coffee with friends.
Went in the evening Lucky Khao. Food was rustic and delicious. Definitely grown up food. Atmosphere ' great, but the best part was the young enthusiasm team, both the servers and the chef's in the open kitchen. BRILLIANT!!
Highly recommend the Full Roaster. Others are okay but not as exceptional. The environment of the shop is fantastic. Hot coffees are amazing but ice coffees need a big improvement. Services are quick and staff are friendly. Latest visit: Significantly improved their ice coffees. Excellent service as usual. Full Roaster not as good as last time though, still, Redroaster Cafe remains to be an amazing place to have breakfast.
We stopped in for a gluten free brunch and it was DIVINE. So few breakfast places take care to season each composing element of a dish, but not here! Every bite was delicious and perfectly seasoned. We took the full Roaster and it was amazing. Our waitress was kind and attentive, she chatted with us and gave us advice on where to visit in Brighton. There was a bit of a delay in receiving our plates so they offered us a free drink, which was appreciated but wholly unnecessary it really wasn't that long a wait. The decor is beautiful, the coffee was delicious and overall, we had the best breakfast we've had here in the UK. We will definitely stop by next time we're in Brighton! Dietary restrictions: Gluten free is no problem and plenty of choices!
I’ve been here twice and loved the experience of the servers and the food and drink has been exceptional. Best flavoured food I have ever had from the October-fest Lucky Khao 4 course meal. Had to come back as soon as possible to see what the red-roasters coffee was like! Love it here!
The Redroaster Cafe is the kind of place that not everyone will like, but some will love. Its marmite. I found it a bit too poncey for my liking and the service, when taking orders, was very slow. I didn't eat half of my waffle as it was way too rich, but my partner really liked his, and his coffee too. The people were nice and the cafe had great decor, but again there were just small things I didn't like. Such as the tables being badly wiped, meaning there were crumbs and still hair all over it, and we had to wait for the table to dry. I sympathise, as they were rushing to get people seated, but I would rather wait 5 mins for them to clean, the sit at a still wet and dirty table. Overall, this place is nice, but it won't be some peoples cup of tea.
