Fantastic camping ground, beautiful scenery, but like the Romans and the roads, it's Scotland, so it's a given its wild camping, but with everything you need to be clean, warm, dry and well fed, but without the holiday camp vibe. Stayed 6 nights in August, loved it, Liam an all the workers are ace. Just home from yet another fantastic weekend at the Red Squirrel Campsite in Glencoe. The staff all go above and beyond and make sure you have the best adventure / experience possible. It has been great to see the campsite being maintained and improved over the last few years whilst ensuring the surroundings and land is kept as natural as possible. This is the most scenic campsite you will find and you are allowed campfires in designated areas. Whether with family or friends you will feel safe and comfortable here always. Thanks again for the memories we will be back soon.
Just beautiful! The views are amazing we loved staying here. It was fairly busy when we arrived but we managed to find a great spot by the river and nearby the toilets to pitch up. Swimming in the river is a must on a sunny day! The food truck was really good food and a decent price considering the quality. The phone charging hut was really helpful only a £1 for charging. The pub down the road 15 minute walk has loads of live music on, well worth a visit. And check out Moss restaurant in Glencoe if you can the food was delicious!
Overall I did enjoy the campsite, the location was beautiful and the staff very friendly.nnI personally just have to say that I found 30 pounds for two people and a tent for one night a little expensive, considering that the facilities were very basic. I don't mind basic facilities, if the price is lower, but when I showered the water was either cooking hot or immediately super cold, even though there was nobody else in the container. Also the showers where super small, my skin touched the walls of the showers all the time and there was not enough place to put/hang my stuff.nI personally just think for this price the facilities are not good enough.
This is a campground situated in an extremely beautiful and scenic area right beside a river. The staff running the side are extremely friendly and helpful and flexible for late arrivals. The washrooms and showers and laundry area are all clean and up-to-date. Unlike some campsites that I visited, there are no assigned sites so when you go in there, you're told basically drive around or walk around and find the space that suitable for your type of camping whether it's a vehicle or a tent
