Story

The Red Rooster has been an ale house for many years and is on the go to list for Best ale pubs in the local areas. The Red Rooster has served real ale for years before the start of the recent ale boom for which we are doing what we do best.
Boasting our selection of nine hand pumps our selection of draughts, bottles and spirits we have had many a jolly soul crowding our bar. The traditional flagged stone floor and cosy fireside seating areas welcome weary travellers from walkers, cyclists and even just those who walked accross the road from the houses opposite.

Our customers are our friends and are welcoming as our staff.

Pop in and have a drink and a chat to see what we can offer.

Great pub with a nice vibe, great for calling in for refreshments whilst doing the canal walk !
Quite large inside, with terrace at front. My friend who enjoys real ales said he stopped going there due to how they stored and served the ales, but tells me it's a lot better now. Good atmosphere, pub quizzes and open mic nights after about 20.00. Dog friendly. Parking is a little awkward, having to cross a major road on a nasty corner...be careful!
Lovely quality little pub, first-time visiting, warm welcome from staff and indeed regulars, chokd and dog friendly which is a bonus. Would recommend.
The beers never disappoint and can be enjoyed in a lovely atmosphere with great music playing softly in the background. I've always received a warm welcome from staff and locals on my all too few visits.
A good no nonsense pub dog friendly with a good range of beers and spirits parking a bit limited. Friendly staff and not far from town centre
Cracking real ale pub this, hardly changed over the years and has stuck to its principles of providing good quality ales at good prices, staff always friendly, sports regularly on TV, dog friendly pub with a nice sun trap of a terraced seating area outside, if your in the area this boozer is a must, keep up the good work guys.
Lovely traditional pub, good selection of well kept ales and good proper coffee too. Fantastic this place has reopened and undergone a full refurbishment! I'll be back!
Been well restored and nice ale with some outside space too
The staff are lovely and the place itself has been beautifully decorated inside & out, it's just a shame that the beer is always so flat. Barely any head and the pint dies when you're barley through the first few mouthfuls. Unfortunately having good quality beer that holds its head is important to a real ale pub. I hope it improves beer wise, the pub itself is lovely and I wish the best for its future.
Great pub, good pint always had in here. Large selection of ales and staff always friendly. Beer garden is a sun trap
