Red Neds

About

City centre tradiitonal family run pub dating back to 1819 (1907 by current owners)

Story

Red Neds is situated on the corner of Ogle St. and Chapel Lane in the centre of Armagh. It derived its name from the current owners' grandfather, Edward O'Neill (RED NED) who purchased the premises from John Conway in 1907.

Your guaranteed a warm welcome with our quality surroundings ,friendly staff and amiable customers.

If sport's your forte, look no further,we show every sport and racing channel on six flat screens with lots of memorabillia on display.
Alternatively curl up at the fireplace and enjoy one of the 20 Irish whiskeys we stock including our own bespoke " Red Neds Centenary Bushmills Malt".

Every Friday night we host a music session with resident musicians Hatchjaw joined by whoever else turns up on the night leading to an eclectic mix of traditional, folk, bluegrass and many suspect cover versions . In addition Red Neds host live bands every Saturday night.

So whether your a local or a visitor,if you fancy a swig and some banter why not give us a call, after 104 years in business we must be doing something right!

Great lively pub, all age groups frequent this bar. You can either opt for a quiet area and enjoy a good social drink or you can go to a more lively section and follow all the sports or horse racing events on the numerous screens. A bar to suit all needs.
