Anyone looking for a great meal, a wonderful location, friendly attentive staff then look no further. This is literally the gem of the countryside pub/restaurant/events venue. We would travel 80 mile round trip at least once every 6-7 weeks to go for lunch or dinner or even just a day out spin and a little drink stop here. The staff are so lovely. Basil Sheills has quaint little rooms here and there and even in the remote corner you will not be forgotten. The staff will always ensure that you are being taken care of. We had a family wedding there before Christmas and I would encourage anyone who is looking a rustic, quaint, quirky, country style wedding to give this place consideration. Food & drinks: The food is the best I have ever eaten in any restaurant and the portions are very generous. You will not be disappointed. Parking: Great big car park which has a lovely wooden footbridge over the river to allow you access to the road to the entrance of the establishment
Brilliant venue. Food delicious and plenty off it. Reasonable priced. Drinks great prices for a music venue. Great atmosphere met lots of friendly locals as well as tourists. So many lovely cosy areas. Outside area by the river when the sun is shining. I have been here twice, once for a wedding reception and another for a family dinner. Does not disappoint, the food and service are top class. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The decor is fab, with the old tin signs ect. Great place.

Beautiful building with enough trinkets to keep you well entertained. Staff are extremely friendly and happy to help in almost any way. And the food is fantastic! Great portions and high quality. I was nicely stuffed after my Sunday lunch, would definitely return.
Was here for a gig on good Friday and really enjoyed it. Great venue. Good bar food and reasonably priced. Staff were really lovely and the younger staff really competent which to me means they are getting well supported and trained by the business. Did stay as it was booked out, stayed close by at Dundrum house. Really lovely community. Thanks
Last minute booking while we are traveling Northern Ireland. Food was class. Waitresses really friendly. Music and service in the bar afterwards was great. Rooms were spacious, elegant and clean. Shared bathroom is the only down side but I won't be letting that stop me returning. A homely countryside Gem.

Basil Sheils a delightful place, fabulous food, great service very friendly staff and we will most definitely be going back again. I would highly recommend it for a evening out with friends and family.
