Comparing to the other chinese and Sichuan restaurants, the price here are a little bit more expensive like 10 to 15 percent more expensive The place is a slightly dirty with dark and dim decorating style black and red there was only one chinese waitress with unstable emotion. Sometimes she looks happy, smiley and kind but sometimes she looks unhappy and doesn't show her manner to customers It was like she does everything in the restaurant which made her really busy and runs to everywhere around the restaurant; serving, taking orders, cleaning, arranging tables, etc. But when another chinese aunt comes she doesn't look helpful to the first waitress. In opposite, the second waitress looks so dumb and doesn't understand english. The hotpot buffet is still acceptable and tasty but the service we got is not that satisfied us. The sauces for hotpot are diversified. The thing we don't like is that the waitress always give us a small amount of meat because they think we cannot finish the whole meat, said that they don't want to waste food. But somehow the way they serve us small amount of food and ask us to order again if we want more, is really a waste of time. It has a timegap between eating because we need to wait till they serve more meat
Friendly staff tho not professional. It had just opened at 12 and we got there at 12.15 We order spring rolls, hot and sour soup, some fish dish dish and aubergine. We waited till 12.50 for the food to come. We need to catch a train... Others came in and 20 mins after us and just served first... We asked and where just told soon... They got very sheepish. Spring rolls are subpar... The cheapest you can get form a Chinese supermarket. The aubergine was cooked well and tasted somehow a little plain... Hot and sour soup was ok. Fish dish was ok lacking in flavour and the fish was not fresh it smelt fishy The rice was dry .. I will not be going back.

If you are a spicy food lover, have a go at Red N Hot. I have never had the steamboat, but we always go for the shared dishes as we live close by. I reckon 80% of the food are spicy and that does give me a bit of an adrenaline rush. My flatmates and I know the boss/attendants well since we are always around the area. It is a pity that they have been closed for quite some time now since like summer 2019. I was told that the restaurant will undergo some refurbishments, but have also heard rumours that they are shutting down the business. Times are tough man.
This is a very interesting Chinese restaurant - if you like veery spicy food, this is your place, they also have a nice selection of dishes.
Went in just after 1600, and against my suspicion that the service will be rubbish and cold hearted, the waitress was very attentive and they made an exception of serving their very good value lunch set and the food was excellent
OMG OMG OMG so authentic so gooood!! Come if you are homesick as a Chinese. Also come if you are traveling but wanna have a bite of Chinese. As a Chinese ppl I recommend come here 10/10. they have really authentic food. Whether you prefer spicy or not you can find sth you love. We ordered fried rice, spicy crabs and some stir fry. It is reallly good. We do not know how there are so many bad reviews on google map. We had a pleasant talk with the waitress here, who offered professional service all the time. Will definitely come next time:
Get to know. Real Chinese food is not necessarily popular with Western tastes. If you want proper Szechuan flavour this place is up there for London. Very enjoyable.
Hygiene standards are very low, my mistake not to check the food safety agency before entering. They scored 2 out of 5 and they have probably been generous. I tried the hit pot, but apart the vegetables all the other ingredients were very poor quality and served all together on a tray with meat slowly defrosting on fish and vegetables. I haven't tried any other dishes. It's two stars here because the staff was really friendly.
Went there with work. Seems like they forgot our booking. We were 20 and there was only one waitress. We had to share 3 or 4 menus between us. One of my colleague had to take the group order and give it to the waitress. Our food arrived 1 hour after we gave our order. The food arrived in very different time some of my colleague waited 1h30 min to get their food. Food was average. Restaurant was tired and somehow dirty looking. I would recommend only to go there if you have a day off so you have the time .
