Good decent pub with good food and drinksnDefinitely not the cheapest place but it's nice to visit especially to sit outside on a summers day. I wouldn't go out of my way to visit but if you're nearby I will definitely recommend going.
Don’t go large.. for the extra £4 on the roast that claims extra meat and pigs in blankets ..n2 tiny pigs in blankets and the extra meat was a joke, when I asked the server if this was correct he was extremely disinterested.nLast time I’m coming here for a roast.. shame because the food and atmosphere is great.
Lovely, wholesome vibe. Large beer garden which is great in summer. Great menu too they have a wide variety and everything i’ve had has been tasty. The Sunday roast was tasty and came out in good time. Staff were nice but they seemed stressed which made them a little disengaged. Overall great place and would recommend. Was a little pricey but it was reasonable for what was provided. Car park is small so not good for large cars.
My wife and i booked the conservatory for a funeral party, we had a meeting with Stuart the week before and he was very pleasant and helpful.On the day of the funeral party the food that we ordered from there party menu was excellent everybody commented on how good it was. They also let us play the music my mother-in-law liked to listen to, also could not fault the bar staff. Thank You Stuart and the Red Lion. Derek and Diane.
Had a good Sunday lunch back in Manchester for 9 days ...had been all week with flu and had no appetite to eat or desire to drink alcohol ..until I espied jwleesndraught bitter which I used to like a lot when I lived near their brewery in Middleton...had 2 pints and it was superb ..should be on prescription from the doctor...it looked and tasted fantastic..I immediately felt better ...dinner was fine ..3 Sunday lunches and a burger for the younger one..all fine ..
