Beautiful cottage/ pub with a cosy garden, where we had dinner our last night in Hungerford. Very good food and very friendly people. The dag before we were too late for lunch, and the helpful owner found us an other address to have lunch.
Went for very first time. A wedding reception was being held there. It was busy when we arrived in evening. Staff were friendly. Food was Wonderful. Would definitely visit again.
Family lunch for my 85th birthday, I wouldn't have gone anywhere else. Friendly efficient unhurried service. Excellent food. They could not do enough for us. They made my day; as usual. Great place and people. Even the dog enjoyed the fuss made of her. Thanks.
I would not hesitate to recommend this place. The staff and manager are extremely welcoming, friendly and the food is superb. Its not often I say this.
First time going in a few years, decent value and foods all very tasty.
The friendliest welcome from switched on attentive staff. We asked if management had changed we were so impressed with the staff. Food was good and despite a huge party in the main restaurant, we were not left waiting too long. Proper pie and a lovely Duck dish. Made a casual evening enjoyable.
A wonderful get together with close friends. We had drinks outside and then ate in the bar. Wonderful service, friendly staff, nothing too much trouble and absolutely stunning food. The lamb shank cooked to perfection and the halibut chosen by my wife and two friends… mouth watering. COVID adhérence . Top recommendation…. Back again next week for lunch and a canal walk. Went out for a Sunday walk with a friend and we crossed by this pub and we said to give a try and we were right the place is amazing and the food is really good. We had few drinks and home made burger that was yummy. I would go back again btw the staff is really kind and hard working. Cheers to them
Not often I feel inclined to award anywhere five stars but on this occasion I've made an exception. Warm, friendly with an almost forgotten 'Olde Worlde' and superb customer service. Ordered the Chateaubriand and my word it was good! Perhaps some of the nicest beef we've eaten in this country by a considerable margin. Go on, try it, you won't be disappointed.
We had a small wedding lunch there and found Jon very helpful and keen to make sure we had everything we wanted on the day. We had use of their separate dining room, our guests went home full, happy and impressed with the food so not much more we could ask for!
