Our establishment is warm and friendly, welcoming regulars and visitors from near and far to sample our quality 'pub grub' style menu.

Story

The Red Cow in Llwydcoed is a local free house located near the beautiful Brecon Beacons. We are a warm and friendly village pub with a family atmosphere.

Call in for a drink or book a table for a bar meal or something a little more special at our nearly renovated restaurant.

Sunday lunch is served 12pm – 3pm and evening meals available Wednesday to Saturday 6pm until 9pm. Scrumptious starters , delicious mains and mouth-watering desserts all home made by our first class chef.

Vegetarian options available and if nothing tickles your fancy on the menu please do not hesitate to ask the chef to tweak a meal to suit your palette.

We have on site parking and a beer garden at the rear for those sunny days.

Good food and huge portions. Was part of a large pre-booked group and they dealt with us well. Friendly staff and well organised. However, let down by people being seated at the bar making it difficult to get drinks as there was no table service for drinks.

Lovely home cooked food and very large desserts

Visited this pub on a friend's recommendation. Very good food. Good value for money. Glad we visited. Will be going back soon.

Food is great but they could do with some good beers, it's just the usual Carling etc.

Lovely village pub, very warm, clean, bright, beautiful tasteful decoration with Excellent customer service. The staff made me welcome and showed me around. They have a beautiful set restaurant and I'm looking forward to making another visit soon.

Visited for lunch today for Father's Day. Very yummy Sunday lunch, very close to homemade. Lots of meat, veg and gravy. The cheesecake for dessert was also delicious. Service was quite slow but the restaurant was very busy so understandable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, would definitely visit again.

Great staff really good food they know how to cook lamb which is a rareity these days. Will certainly be back can't say no more really and also they've still got proper strongbow a bonus. Next time home for a weekend we will be there

Food was overall very good, service was fairly prompt as we had pre-ordered our meals. Only downside was that one of the older serving staff was very rude as opposed to the younger staff who were very courteous and polite.

Sunday Lunch outstanding, proper home cooked food and gravy to die for, nothing is too much trouble for the staff  serving you, need to go every Sunday lol Excellant all round

Visited from Bristol yesterday for a family lunch.  What a lovely village pub. I hadn't been there in over 11 years.  Beautifully clean, great service, lovely atmosphere, staff all very friendly, polite and nothing was too much trouble.  No complaints on the food side.  Just one FYI, portion sizes are HUGE, we had to ask for a takeaway box   we will definitely come back when we are in the Valleys again.  Looking forward to trying the Sunday lunch next time.  Big thumbs up from us!   Thank you.
