Today is Wednesday, 10am. The bank was not busy, no queue, 2 tellers, 1 at enquiry desk and 2 standing at the door waiting for ..what ? I was approached immediately with a greeting and enquiry about what I wanted to do. I said I was going to the tellers but she persisted. I had to explain I had cash with me and still she persisted. After telling me that I could use the machine, I had to say I needed receipts and I DID know why I was in the bank. The teller was excellent and dealt with business quickly and effeciently. I had several small desposits to make and as I waited 2 more people in suits came out to stand around - now 4 people doing nothing. The business cash was closed or I would have used that. To quote the well worn phrase 'how many people does it take to change a lightbulb', just how many people standing around does it take to run a bank when the actual work was being done by the tellers. The public don't read your staff reviews, we get unnecessary enquiries at the door about private business, see staff standing around, long queues and not enough tellers to deal with our enquiries. The closed off parts of the bank do not give a good business image.
