We visited here for dinner last Saturday evening. It was extremely busy so I appreciate that the service may have been affected from its normal flow because of this. We were served by a lady called Sam, and giving an honest review, we did feel like we were kept waiting for quite a lot of our visit. We were waiting ten minutes just to order drinks, then we were sped through the salad cart selection in about 30 seconds which felt a bit ridiculous, then the mains didn’t show for a further 45 minutes, and after our dinner plates were cleared, she didn’t come back for another 20 minutes to ask about desserts. The visit was unfortunately not without fault, either my dinner being served with the wrong sides and the desserts being wrong also. The food was slightly disappointing - having eaten at Harvester’s all over the UK, we kinda knew what to expect quality-wise, and this particular visit wasn’t really up to scratch. The food was okay at best, the service left a lot to be desired, and the overall experience was mediocre. I would return because I can appreciate half of the problems we had were likely due to the higher amount of customers dining that evening, but I’d only visit on a quieter day outside of peak times.
Served by Latoya - She was lovely and gave excellent service! Even though we stole her napkins Food was nice, glad we came here for a family & friend meal out.
This harvester has always been hit and miss to be honest, but tonight it was inedible. Peas and corn were dried out, sides arrived 15 mins after the meal was “eaten” and steak was black on the outside it was so overcooked. Disgusting, honestly vile. Manager refunded our meals so we didn’t pay for them, which I would have refused anyway. Chef needs a serious talking to if this is his level culinary skill. Staff were so nice, chef useless and couldn’t give a s@it by the way badly cooked food was thrown on the plate. Kid-friendliness: We ordered garlic bread vegan for our dairy intolerant daughter - it arrived after the meal so that was ridiculous
Really nice family dinner tonight at the Harvester in Rayleigh. Food was delicious and there was plenty of choice on the salad cart. Our waitress Milly was very friendly and helpful.
I came for dinner with my 2 siblings and their friend. We were served by Victoria who was great with the kids, made sure to check for allergens which one of my party had and all in all gave great service from start to finish.Recommended dishesJammie Dodger Sundae
Awesome breakfast Cute food, tasted great. Thanks to Jon and Emma in the kitchen for the yummy breakfast. Great, fast service.
Usual reliable food and fayre, still got the same salad bar and free rolls that the kids seemed to love more than the mains! Enjoyed my half roast chicken but could have done with a few more chips!Food: 4/5
We were at the harvester on Monday evening. We were made to feel welcome on arrival. Our waitress was Vicky. She was very welcoming. Smiley, helpful & attentive. Well impressed with the service. She certainly knew her job. Well done Vicky.
Overall very good, initial service excellent with host going out of her way to show us table available. Waitress service continued good and cheerful, food fine, salad bar a bit messy / depleted. 2people had fish and chips served with literally a teaspoon of mushy peas. Don’t know if supplies low but nothing said in the way of explanation. Shame as other than that all good Parking: Plenty of parking space
We went for breakfast this morning Thursday 17th December and had a lovely time, the food was served quickly and it was delicious. Our waitress Sam was super friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble for her. We will definitely be returning soon.
