Had a great 3 night stay here. Nice location it’s out of the way but close to everything at the same time. A big shout out to staff member indie. Very helpful couldn’t do enough for you a women that loves here job. Definitely stay againRooms: 5/5
The rooms were large and very clean, featuring excellent interior decor and fresh linens on the beds. The breakfast spread was delightful, offering a wide range of choices. The employees were attentive and made extra efforts to guarantee our comfort. They were willing to assist with anything we needed.Rooms: 5/5
Ruddie saved you guys. Your staff are your strength. We booked 4 rooms, the hotel did not have heating for the first day which for pensioners who suffer from pain is terrible we ask for it radiator or some sort of cable heater from 8 o’clock didn’t get one for hours to person who bought it was really nice and he had with iron board because the ironing board did not work. In one of the rooms, the shower was not working. Correction, the shower was working, but there was no shower gel, one of the beds was extremely springy. If the staff were in a different hotel, it will be the perfect stay
Firstly I'd like to say I enjoyed my 2 night stay at this hotel, lovely room with good facilities overlooking the well kept grounds. Meals were of a good standard however I was charged again for meals I'd prepaid for when booking. Despite emails back and forth stating this has been refunded I am yet to receive any monies back which has tinged my overall experience.
This hotel was relatively decent. The positives are that it was pretty clean and tidy, the beds were extremely comfortable and it was in a convenient location. It was also very quiet. It was also priced appropriately for what it is. The negatives are that it’s quite an old hotel. The carpets are worn, the rooms are dated and the shower wasn’t great. The TV was also old, the expensive phone charges seemed outdated and there was no tea provided. There was also nobody on the desk when we went to check out and there’s no pool or gym you’re given access to a nearby Nuffield. That said, for around £70 a night it was just about worth it, and I’d probably stay here again as the basics were covered.
The receptionist was not there and when he came he went to look for trolley and never came back. The hotel rooms have bad smell and the windows are broken and the toilets floor was damaged. I was wondering if I am in Mercure or not or even if I am in hotel or not. Moreover, instead of the good bay they have charge us again in the checkout and I had to call many time international calls to claim back our many. It was terrible experience in family gathering
Long late Check in at 12 pm but the gentleman was helpful. Rooms very tired and breakfast sad no coffee it was frozen not a good start to the day. Staff were friendly ample parking good for a band stay with van Rooms: Tired and sad
This is the second time I've stayed here for business in a matter of weeks. Good location with easy access. Lots of parking. Nice Size rooms with the biggest beds! Friendly staff who are most helpful. Nice view out bedroom overlooking a sort of valley if your on that side of the hotel.
I believe that it is much better to sort out issues or problems directly rather than give negative reviews. However, when that doesn't work, then I feel it is important to give others a warning. We booked this hotel with specific requirements. In particular, easy access for my wife who has mobility requirements. We took care to speak several times to the hotel to confirm. When we arrived, we were told the room we had pre-booked was not available. We were eventually shown to a room which was not only unsuitable for our access requirements but was probably the worst hotel room we have seen in many years. Some photos are attached, unfortunately others we have "lost" due to lack of IT skill! A badly cracked sink is totally unacceptable in any standard of accommodation. The room was just scruffy and musty. Whilst the staff we encountered were great, it seemed like a ghost hotel. The bar and rest was not open for lunch. The staff provided us with a sandwich but had to charge us a tray charge as it had to be served in our room! Wwe were eventually given new room, but the time taken meant that I was late for an appointment. This resting my return being much later than expected. Thankfully the bar was open for a "limited menu" offering in the evening. This was Saturday evening and the hotel felt almost empty when one expects this to be a busy time. Our email to the hotel was not even acknowledged never mind giving us an explanation or an apology. So our advice is to look at other options if you want to stay in this area. Rooms: We were shown very tired and unacceptable room, after negotiation an adequate room was found. Food & drinks: On a Saturday morning neither the restaurant or the bar were open for lunch! Bar service in the evening operated on a "limited" menu. Not what we expect from a 3/4 star hotel
A real shame and let down in quality and standards of cleanliness. Hotel is very run down and dated inside. The rooms have an odor smell. When I was booked into my room the toilet had not been flushed and was full of urine and the door was unlocked. There was a very unpleasant smell in the room. Needs full refurbishment.Rooms: 1/5
