Honestly hands down the best Chinese in Exeter. Could not fault at all. Been having Chinese for rainbow for 10 years and honestly everything is just always so good. Phone sometimes annoying when they don’t answer but if local you understand there so busy they just don’t need to answer and certain times you have to walk in to order. But doesn’t bother me as always such good food.
Delicious food, it's always worth getting down there early and ordering as it gets very busy but the food is definitely worth the wait. One of the best Chinese takeaways in the area for sure. Parking: A few spaces outside the shop but mainly parking on the street.
It's a very popular take away as it's food is absolutely amazing and a good price too . Staf advise you on the waiting time so you know when you will expect to get your food but definitely worth waiting for. I think this is the best take away in ExeterFood: 5/5
Absolutely delicious as always. Crispy chilli beef and the king prawns with ginger and spring onions are so tasty. Fresh, hot and a really good portion. Favourite Chinese in the area, definitely beats the noodle bars in town, will be back next Friday
Had heard nothing but good reviews about Rainbow House and their much spoke of ‘Babi-Pangang’ dish although most people pronounce it ‘Babi-Pangyang’ I was warned it gets very busy and they sometime take the phone off the hook when its too busy. I called to order around 6pm and they answered straight away and my order was ready to collect about 30 minutes later. The shop was quiet busy and most people were buying large 2 bag orders. Ours came and it was very well packed and no leaking containers. Very reasonably priced and I didn't have a single complaint about the whole meal. The curry which was nice and think comes with a free rice, the babi-pangang comes on a bed of rice or a bed on noodles. The special fried rice has large pieces of chicken and a lovely sauce on the top. We tried lots of different chinese takeaways before finding out favourite New Oriental City in Pinhoe but Rainbow House comes very close if not beats it with value for money, variety and taste all together. The staff were very friendly and we'll definitely be eating from here again. Highly Recommended!!!! I've added photos for the current menu and i couldn't see one on line
Best Chinese takeaway in Exeter, in my opinion. Orders can only be placed by phone or in person, delivery not available, but well worth the trip, food is fantasticFood: 5/5
Great tasting food at reasonable price just remember to take cash with you they don't take card payments
Delicious crispy chilli chicken, veg spring rolls and egg fried rice, literally the best! Highly recommend, picked up within 15 minutes of ordering... also lovely staff and great prices was a big plus. Thank you!
Probably the best Chinese myself and the partner have EVER had.... Definitely worth a try!!! Came up to Exeter for a get away and was not disappointed! 5* the crispy chilli beef was just as it said on the tin and those chicken balls I could have had the whole bag to myself which is rare, thank you so much xo
Took nearly 1 hour to get through on phone after being recommended. No veg in special rice and so Salty everything in thick brown syrup gloo . No thanks can't eat it .
