Excellent train station with exceptional staff on Saturday 10 December. Both the blonde lady and Sam were incredibly helpful in assisting changing circumstances through snow. Can't speak highly enough of them.

It's a lovely little station with great links to Manchester and the south. I enjoy coming here to spot trains and they are usually on time.
A dated station with a heart of gold. Pumpkin Coffee on offer & pubs across the road
Staff generally not bothered. Not helpful. Mental about the exit door on the platform near the office. No timetables on the walls or info on timetables changes.
Adam who works at Macclesfield station went above and beyond to kindly get my suitcase back which I had left on the train. Within the hour of me speaking to him at the station, my suitcase was back in my hands. This was thanks to him getting for getting a member of staff on the train to locate it and make sure it was put on the return train. His friendly, helpful nature and great dead went a long way and I am extremely grateful. Thank you Adam!!

Another decently sized and located station, served both by local and intercity train services, usually 2 intercity and 1 local train an hour, each way. Facilities are quite basic, in comparison to other big stations like Stoke-On-Trent. No ticket barriers here, but there are ticket machines and a ticket office too. Step free access to the platforms is provided thanks to a dedicated footbridge and large lift. Platforms have good amount of shelter and seating and the staff here are OK too.
