Well maintained and generally the schedule is accurate and the trains are on time. About 3 miles walking to Hadrian's Wall, though there is a faster and infinitely more scenic route along the river Burn.
The Haltwhistle railway station is closely located at the Hadrian wall and the river south tyne. Filled with beautiful green landscapes. Summer is the best time to visit.
Small countryside train station.
A lovely traditional railway station with a historic footbridge and signal box. Steam trains including 60103 Flying Scotsman pass through from time to time.
There is waiting buildings but they are cold and not looked after well.
Nice station, could do with a more frequent service.
This is a great wee place, well worth a visit
