A fairly good station with plenty of platforms allowing travel to most of the country. The station is very busy at peak times of the day. There are limited facilities once through the ticketing barrier.
I used this station as an interchange on the way back from my holiday before travelling to it on a day out afterwards; both times were pleasant experiences. The platforms are very large which makes them accessible to the passengers departing various carriages of trains, at which point a billboard with the services can be seen that makes it easy to find the correct train on time. It is efficient having a glass roof over most of the station to stop any of the main areas getting wet, while the large number of platforms is appropriate for such a busy interchange! On my other day at the station, my trains coming to and departing from there were not mainline so it was reasonable for them to be on the smaller platforms; the services to Skipton were reasonably frequent. I was also lucky to explore the facilities available and buy myself a nice muffin from a shop, alongside using the toilets that have a large number of urinals for many and have been kept clean.
Lovely city, cosmopolitan and vibrant with lovely canals. I stayed at the Hilton Doubletree which was lovely and overlooks the canal and minutes from the station and town centre.
A great train station- modern, easy to navigate and with everything you could need. Staff are always friendly and information boards are regularly placed and easy to read. A great selection of shops for different budgets and toilets are always kept clean and are free!.
Nice and light and airy nowadays compared to the dismal hole that it used to be. There's a good selection of food outlets on the concourse including a Spoons. Beware of the size of the place though, getting from platform 1 to platform 17 takes a good five minutes or more with luggage.
A very ancient historical city with a modern outlook especially on the newer communities on the outskirts. Great football stadium for Leeds FC and a very vibrant fan base. The city has a great transport system and is especially welcoming.
A well organised station with easy navigation and inclusive facilities. This is located just a few minutes from the city centre. The toilets are clean, the staffs are friendly. There are various selection of foods and drinks. The escalators and lifts are working well. This place have two large concourses. There is an overnight short stay car park.
A great train station with very helpful train staff! a particular thank you to Shaun, the irish man who works at the info desk! I bought a split ticket train to london from Leeds but my train got cancelled. Despite a busy day at the station, Shaun went out of his way to make sure I could get on a replacement train and he vouched for me to get on the LNER train straight to Ldn! Not all heroes wear capes!! Thank you Shaun, you made my day!
Easy to get around, close and clear platforms, friendly staff and lots of options for food and drinks shops before you go through the barriers!
I used the station today 14/03/23 and had to make 2 enquiries. I want to say how kind and helpful the staff were. They gave me the information I needed and were cheerful and friendly. Thank you my dears.
