Not a great airport by any stretch of the imagination! They are doing improvement work on it, but it really needs a complete rethink. The journey through for the outbound flight was problem free, but it just the lack of facilities that make this a disappointing experience. Eating breakfast that cost approx £30 at a table that is designed to move around, making it impossible for two to sit and eat at and not much better for one person. After waiting nearly 20 minutes to be served any table was going to be welcomed. The usual journey to the plane is down a seemingly never ending windy walkway, followed by standing around waiting while they finish servicing the plane. Perhaps we could have waited inside for a little longer! Coming back is where the problems started. Once again parked on a stand in a different county, with miles to walk. Jet2 I though this was one of your big hubs, why do you have such poor stand locations? However I could cope with the walk if when you arrived there the baggage was going to appear. We landed at 2101 and we finally got baggage at 2212, with the excuse that we’re busy. You know when the planes are coming, why not make sure you’ve got staff. The only reason I ever use this airport is that it’s 50 minutes from home, which is strangely quicker than the baggage system.

Used the airport many times. No real food selection and expensive. Domestic flights late quite often. No train to the airport. There's a taxi service to central Leeds which is about 22 Pounds-40 minute drive with no traffic. Luggage takes forever to arrive even if you're the last flight. Check in is fairly fast and security check is also quite fast,but once you're inside it's a roulette if your flight leaves on time. The slightest wind or rain and everything is delayed. The lounge is basic-don't arrive hungry! Nice selection of drinks and Sky news is on the tv. Only use the airport if you have no choice.

Picked up my brother last week from there. I have NEVER seen such a disaster of an airport. You have to have way too much money for parking. Even if you just want to drop someone off you have to pay. It's not possible to park or even stop the car for a minute, because the police will come right away and tell you to move on!!! Unbelievable! The flight of my brother left on time and arrived on time, but was not allowed to land, so we had to wait over an hour and paid over 16 pounds! No information about all of this on the website or on the internet except in the reviews. If you can avoid this airport, do it!

The security here is very tight but done with a smile. It's the first time my husband has flown with hearing aids and the staff were very helpful in reassuring him. Once through security we settled down and had a drink. There are plenty of screens to watch when your gate is announced.

Small airport mainly dealing with short-haul flights, inside there is a Burger King and one or two other restaurants which are less-than-reasonably priced... reasonably efficient throughout. Very, very poor communication about the £3 ‘parking’ charge to leave the one way road that runs past the front of the airport, even if you’ve not parked as such there’s a charge to leave.
