A well-maintained railway station. Staffs are extremely helpful. I was thrilled by the neatness of the station. All Kudos goes to the authorities for maintaining the station like this. There is a nice gallery near to the railway station. Do visit that too, if possible.
Spoke down to whilst requesting use of toilets which are locked preventing me from basic human rights. Lady in upstairs office reluctantly only opened disabled toilets so couldn’t use it as another lady coincidentally was trying to gain access to bathroom so wasn’t going to stop her. Lady in office rejected my request to open male toilets after this, smirking on her way back to office and as train was in 5 minutes decided to wait.
Nice beach great promenade for walking dogs and children
The staff at the train station were friendly and suggested travelling off peak to Edinburgh to save money. Comfortable short wait. Train can be a but crowded in the peak season. e g. Edinburgh festival and Tattoo. Dog friendly.
Good town in the south of Fife, the high street is getting low on shops, but the retail park is got loads of shops, loads of parking.
Not a bad station. They have a good few places to stay out of the rain and have a wh smiths however only open during 9:00-17:00 hours that I'm aware of
Rebuilt station buildings, except whoever designed it ought to refund their wages. Has all expected functions and services of a community train station, with long wide platforms, staff on site, and limited hours convenience store. Alas, the station buildings, especially the southbound Edinburgh side, are somewhat a joke. Entrances are poorly positioned, both into the building and onto the platforms, bizarrely placed on the angle. Three ticket windows yet a cramped foyer. Limited canopy cover, of little use for 10 coach mainline East Coast services that call here. Knock it down and start again.
I want to thank the lady with the white hair who works at kirkcaldy station. When all the trains got cancelled yesterday. Scotrail would not help me and my 7 yrs old daughter to get back to perth. Im disgusted with the way we got treated there. But that nice womN with rhe white hair paid for a taxi back to perth for me and my daughter out her own money. Xxx shame on you scotrail!!
Modernised station with basic facilities. Nothing special.
Efficiently run station with friendly staff and pleasant surroundings. This is how every travel experience should go.
