Still people working on the ticket counter which is essential for me. And there are ticket machines too. An elevator connects to the platforms as well as easy stairs. There are two café as well as a sweet and book shop. Helpful staff who all have the humor that's essential during these troubled times in the railroad.
Well the adventure is about to begin....North to South on the metal road
Lancaster train station in the centre of the town is on the one-way system & not easy to access. Great train services Manchester Airport, London/Glasgow & east/west Pennines. Too much disabled parking making very limited other waiting parking spaces. Lift access to all platforms but allow lots of time lift very slow. Toilets on platforms. Adequate snack kiosk & cafe. Warm waiting room a bonus.
Drab, but, worse the psyops of continual drivel over the announcement system. Oh for the sanctuary of being alone with one's thoughts
