Probably my favourite racecourse and was there for the Ulster National recently. It is a very unique track with its undulations and makes it a fantastic viewing course with that famous uphill finish. Great facilities, a real family friendly atmosphere and staff are excellent. A course that has been transformed over the last 10-15 years, so credit to all at Downpatrick Racecourse.
First time there with a Family kids in early teens Friendly atmosphere Laid back set up Easy to move about Loads of bookies Easy to get close to the horses Food and drink ok - not the usual complete rip off of some courses So picturesque Great value entry All in all great day out Well done Downpatrick racecourse
Wonderful day out it's has beautiful facilities so professionally organised
A lovely track, a natural bowl witj a long grassy track great for horse racing, days out and photos.
Looks good. It was closed at the time. Just dropped off a horse to be stabled for two nights. The event organisers were great and supper helpful.
Nice day out at the races, has plenty seating and standing areas. Multiple food outlets on site but prices are quite expensive for what you get, I will bring some sandwiches with me next time. All in all a decent setup.
What a great day and atmosphere. Big crowd at the racecourse. Felt sorry for the families that had queue up for the fast food. It was easy to get served alcohol and a pint was £4.50 management need to address food outlets disgraceful get your act together for goodness sake.
It's 24 years almost since I last set foot in Downpatrick Racecourse and I am very impressed. Every thing has been improved to make it one of the loveliest places to watch horse racing in Ireland. I don't think it ever rains here on a race day and the staff, security, bookmakers, helpers and even the punters are the friendliest you'll find at any track in the country. Pure Co. Down folks.
Great day out the punters ticket is a fantastic deal can't wait to go back
Great night's craic, will definitely be back.
