An absolute disgrace! agreed a price that took into consideration similar properties, averaged the price and deducted 10% which was fine but 3 days before the completion decided to knock 10k off price but dangled the carrot that the cash was waiting if I agreed and it would be in bank immediately. it was the surveyor who decided 71k was too much but not because the house was structurally unsound, no, it was apparently because a similar house nearby had been sold at auction quite cheaply, this despite the house directly opposite sold for 89k the week before. The entire experience has sickened me because some people would have been so desperate they would have accepted the offer luckily I wasn't and sold it the next day to as cash buyer. Their loss then!!!
