Service was friendly polite and speedy but not rushed. Sunday roast was delicious with a choice of meats, including beef, chicken or pork, or all three if wanted. Vegetables were cooked just right and food was hot. Desserts were equally as good with the cherry filled pancakes an excellent recommendation from our waitress. The apple crumble with cinnamon and cream was also very good. Comfortable seating and a lovely location in the bay window. Staff couldn't do enough for us. I definitely recommend a visit.
Very nice and clean pub. Staff where friendly and courteous and made you feel welcome. Food was top notch, nice cold Aspall's. The cheesecake topping was so smooth. Couldn't fault anything. Highly and easily recommend. Great service all round
A small and cosy pub, with a real local community spirit to it. Went for a meal for a birthday lunch on a Sunday. Everything on the menu looked delicious, the Sunday roast was lovely and very generous portion sizing. Tandoori chicken sizzler was my meal and it was beautiful. All food cooked perfectly, even the kids menu has a great choice through it. Very large selection of wines both local and international, and an absolutely lovely selection of desserts. Very highly recommend anyone considering a traditional pub lunch, to try here! There is a car park however it is very small and people double park, however there is a residential road opposite which is very wide and ample parking even of a weekend. Next time we visit Maldon, I will be sure to go back! 5 stars.
Really lovely place to go for a meal. Excellent service and good vegan or vegetarian options. The good food which is freshly prepared on the premises is complimented by the local beer. I had a pint of Maldon breweries Puck’s Folly and I certainly recommend a couple of those! The staff made my brother’s 60th birthday meal fondly memorable.
Lovely staff, food is yummy and plenty of options for veggies/vegans. cozy decor and nice and clean. Dog friendly.
Met up with old friends and had an excellent meal. Delicious fresh fish and a great selection of main meals and desserts. Every table was full which speaks for itself, and James, the Landlord, always gives a great welcome and friendly service.
I visited the Queen Victoria Public House for the first time last night for Dinner. The Food was Excellent and the Menu selection was extensive. The Staff were so friendly and attentive and the place had such a warm and inviting atmosphere. It was really lovely and I have no hesitation in recommending this establishment. I cannot wait to go back again. Thank you.
Clean and nicely decorated. Staff very welcoming and attentive. Many vegan options and the whole menu is marked for most allergens which is very helpful. Food is delicious
Excellent food, reasonable prices. Landlord and staff provide excellent service. Thoroughly recommended. Best to book if you want to eat in N the evenings.
Lovely quaint pub. Had a Sunday roast & was made to feel very welcome by all members of staff. Food was amazing & generous portion. All in all a great find & if I’m near Maldon again would return.
