This school has a lot of talk yet no action. All the head teacher does is go on about how exemplary the school is and how they pride themselves on providing the best possible future for their students. However, as I am a student (but I shall stay anonymous) I can confirm that this is a place where your soul is crushed and your dreams are shattered. I chose an option for my GCSEs and was hoping to go into a future career (and this is a subject you need a GCSE in to go into the A level course with) and they told us that careers were significantly dropping but the need was rising. So, I chose it, but to my surprise, they decided to drop it! My future career prospects are now gone, thanks to this excuse for a school. Additionally, some of the teachers accuse their students of actions they have not done but still get the blame for. I assume this is for their own entertainment as they have nothing better to do as they don't properly teach their students. On top of the list of problems, they only care about the attendance over the students' safety! With the statistics shown and displayed on posters on the school gates (which I must say, is quite vain in the very least) this is due to them making students come in on snow days with black ice and unsafe roads and delayed transport, and then still scrutinise our attendance! One girl slipped on the ice outside a slope near the school and broke her leg. I advise any parent to choose another school over this, unless this is a last resort (which is the only logical explanation for attending this school.)

I have been at this school for a little over 5 months now and I hate it. Not just because "All kids hate school" No, because of its policies. During February-January time we had a lot snow, whilst all the other schools were closed because of safety precautions our school said, "Open an hour earlier and 'relax' the footwear policy. Now I have not seen this my self but around the school people have been saying that a student once slipped on the ice on the way up to the school gate and slipped and broke their leg, you would think the school would learn from their mistakes but I guess not. Next up is GCSE's. The whole time we were prepping to sign the form the school kept telling us that taking a language and a humanities was mandatory (I late found out it was not). They care too much about what GCSE path people take and their reputation they make students feel they HAVE to do what the teachers want them to do. This is going to be my last point but I can go on much more. Some teachers can be plain out rude and quite honestly vile. One of my teachers (im not going to say which subject) yells at people for looking down at their paper (Whilst writing something down) because what on the board is important and we need to WRITE IT DOWN. What goes through their head. She also yells when people are sitting with their hands under their chins because her sick brain thinks our chins can affects how well we can see the board. Now this last point about the teacher goes for some more teachers. The teacher slaps a paragraph or three on the board and expects us to write it all down in our ebooks and translate or highlight points with specific things in under 5 minutes. If you ask me thats not a lot of time. If your thinking on sending your daughter here you should probably think twice (unless its your last resort) :)

This school does not care about the health & safety of it's students despite it’s claims that the well-being of students is of the utmost importance, if you’re thinking about sending your children here. Do not. The dodgy boiler means several of the rooms aren’t adequately heated, many accidents have occurred over these past few days due to ice and sleet on the ground but the school refuses to close

IF YOU ARE THINKING OF GOING TO THIS SCHOOL PLEASE READ!! This school used to be a very good school and this is why it probably shows on the tables that pupils that previously went to this school mostly got a grade D or above. This school has lost alot of teachers mostly around the core subjects simply because the school could not afford them. I have not had a stable teacher for science and english and as a result has made my grades drop down from a B to a D. This school has become unnecessarly strict to the extend where you cannot wear earings that are not silver or gold. We are forced to wear tights from october to May, every single student particiated in writing a nice letter to ms Wlker saying we cannot wear tights half way during summer but we were completely ignored. There are teachers in this school that get you introuble for no good reason for example there is a teacher called ms Barett who is a english teacher butgets you introuble if you dont give her a science book she requested for. IF YOU WANT TO GET A GOOD GRADE LEAVING THIS SCHOOL I AM WARNING YOU WHATEVER YOU DO DONT COME QE... DO NOT LISTEN TO THE YEAR 7 REVIEWS AS THEY HAVE NOT BEEN IN THE SCHOOL LONG ENOUGH TO WRITE A REVIEW! I AM CURRENTLY IN YEAR 10

This school is ok the new head teacher that previously took over around two years ago has changed everything, I've been in this school since 2015 and have learnt nothing! Teachers have been leaving and others getting kicked out (most of them)for unessecary reasons. Most of my teachers got sick for more than 5 months dont know what happened there? instead of having qualified cover teachers we had cover teachers that taught a complete different subject to what they were teaching?!? There is this one cover teacher that is so annoying instead of teaching shes talking to us about how she did well in the past when we could be getting work done. The summer is now coming to an end and i have no idea what im up for as literally ALL my teachers have left leaving about 4 or 5 teachers. To all the year 7's dont write reviews with 5 stars just beacause you have amazing friends trust me ive got the most amazing friends ever but you came to learn if you think about it in that sense your parent has sent you in this school to die... good luck
