Went for a family birthday lunch today. The service was very good and the food was lovely. There's a good veggie choice on the menu. I had the Mushroom Wellington and I can honestly say it was the best veggie Sunday roast I've had.
We had our Christmas dinner here on Christmas Day. We were met at the door with a glass of Prosecco and some cheery banter with the waiter. All the staff worked their socks off and were very helpful and polite and had everything in hand. Non-dairy custard and non-dairy ice cream were available with the vegan crumble and soya milk for the coffees. The food was good, all 5 courses, and we were all comfortably, uncomfortable when we left. Only thing to mention to improve on was that my starter was the same as the appetiser but with the addition of mushrooms, so a little more variety here would have been good. I visited the Quort Pot a few years ago and was very disappointed with my meal and they had no vegan options. I suspect it has changed hands now as I was very impressed with this recent visit. I’m looking forward to visiting again and hope to book next Christmas too.
Went for a birthday meal with family. The food was really, really, good. Service was great, fast, and friendly. The atmosphere was very quiet but may have been down to the early lunchtime we went. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is purely down to the price. As nice as the food was, the portions were incredibly small for the pricing.
I booked a table at the Quart Pot, to celebrate my birthday with my family. Right from the time of booking, Gemma was so helpful and answered all my questions, and made sure I had everything ready for a great night. The food and service on the night was amazing, and the staff are so friendly and welcoming and couldn't do enough to help. Debbie Rainforth was also singing live, and she was amazing. The whole night was fantastic, and the atmosphere was brilliant. Thanks again to everyone who helped make our night so great!
We went for a meal christmas eve not the best burger we had looked like it had been left under the heat lamp for a while. It was literally burger and chips no garnish or anything very disappointing never used to be like this. Didn't even stay for dessert.
Been here a 4 or 5 times, never had a bad meal, service has always been great, good variety of meals and drinks. Overall amazing value for money and a lovely experience. Highly recommend.
Came here for a casual Thursday evening dinner, I think I would’ve preferred to eat a whole ball of blue tac than attempted to cut that steak again. Floor staff were all fantastic but manager dismissive. Dissatisfied is an understatement.
I went here on a Wednesday evening to eat , I ordered the £22 steak and asked for it medium rare , 1 hour later it turned up cremated. The service is very poor and the food well it’s barely edible.
Drab, overpriced for what it is. Ordered 2 Hunters Chicken, a Guiness and a glass of wine. It came to £41. Chicken was dry and not very appetising. About 7 people in the building. It used to be lively with plenty of offers on but not any more. Would not rush back
Unfortunately I had dinner booked for 7pm on a Saturday night for my mums 75th Birthday and we had to leave before even ordering. Another customer on the next table was drinking with her friend and constantly shouting across to the bar staff and swearing obnoxiously for effect. The staff made no attempt to ask her to tone down the volume despite at least one of them clearly embarrassed. When leaving and making the complaint no apology was offered by staff and the delightful customer decided to say to my mum ‘oh get over it this is a pub luv’. She’s right, it is a pub and I’ve no issues with adults swearing and having a laugh in a pub. And when I want to have a pub dinner with my family I’ll find a pub-restaurant to eat at, as the Quart Pot doesn’t offer a family pub dinner experience. There were children dinning too but fortunately they were sat further away. Hopefully the staff can get some training in how to tell people to wind their necks in or maybe they are just a pub for drinking in which case crack on Ended up eating at Plush Turkish restaurant in the High St, food was amazing as usual and brilliant service.
