We were greeted upon arrival by friendly staff, taken to our room and shown exactly where the emergency exit was. Our room was clean, we thought really lovely but that was our personal view. Views are spectacular. The staff were friendly and made us feel really welcome. Breakfast was hot and enjoyable. Would recommend this hotel.
A Sunday lunch visit on a sunny Autumn day when things had quietened down after the Summer. Seated in eye line with the splendid view from the dining area. Excellent food, well presented and a desert menu that tempted an order. Many visits to this place which has extensive outdoor seating essential in summer and becomes cosier in winter. The festive season menu looks rather good!
This is a convenient and nice place to stay. The views are fantastic. The room we had was clean tidy and very well equipped even with some complimentary gifts. The downsides were that like most pub rooms they were a little noisy until closing time. But this wasn’t excessive. The toilet seat needed repairing and if I’m honest the room could benefit from air con. Food was typical pub food wholesome and tasty but breakfast a little over cooked. All in all a good stay
Pub food was very well presented and very attentive staff. Meat in pie needed to be of higher standard. Mentioned to staff so would visit again in future if feedback taken. Overnight rooms first rate. Breakfast fabulous.
The blondish guy behind the bar was a legend. Great atmosphere, really made us feel welcome. Can't rate it enough local pub, wellies, dogs and great views. The staff here are top end, we've just moved to Wiltshire from London and places like this are the reason why we will never move back. Didn't eat my self but we're definitely booking up soon because it looked lovely.
Lovely stay while visiting Bath. Fantastic views from the pub garden. Room was clean and nice decor with complimentary drinks, cafetiere and ground coffee. Quiet and great service. Excellent value.
Food was mediocre. Only vegetarian hot food was a curry, which I can't eat. Asked if it was possible to get an omelette not exactly a challenging request. Was told immediately no didn't check with kitchen. Pointed out there were no other vegetarian meals, to which he replied - there's a salad. Personally I don't want a salad on a cold September Saturday night. It wasn't even very good. Had a side of chips and they were rubbish too. Thoroughly disappointed.
Pleasantly surprised! We booked a table because we are staying down the road for one night. When we arrived I almost walked out, dirty carpet and TV in the Bar. But my wife convinced me we should stay. The food was simply great! We had a couple of starters to share with the Whitebait being the highlight and I opted for the Burger that was perfectly cooked and tasted great. Cheap as well. Best kept secret in Wiltshire. Please get rid of that awful carpet.
Had a great stay at The Quarryman’s Arms recently. Everything was above expectations. The room, the food and the service were all excellent. Great value for what we paid. I highly recommend and the unexpected views from the location were magnificent. A real hidden gem.
Lovely little pub, good selection of ale, mostly Butcombe brewery but as a londoner a change from Fullers is always welcome. Very welcoming and warm even to the unruly children. Food was lovely and very reasonably priced.
