They are a family oriented restaurant with a large internal space and a large outdoor play area and garden. They are a welcoming family restaurant set in an impressively distinct former Monastery. Although the buildings history and origins are sparse they are believed to have changed to a public house in 1942 and the area was believed to be part of a larger old chapter of buildings seen as the gateway to the Quantocks hence our usual monicker “The Quantock Gateway”.

New Manager is friendly and helpful. Superb food, we all ways come back here. Menu is nicely priced and they offer two meals for £8.99 and you can't go wrong! Lush food.

New manager is amazing. This man has really turned the pub around to became somewhere families want to return too. The staff are very child friendly and would do anything to make sure all needs are met. Just like I have amazing memories as a child here with my family now my kids are making their own great memories playing and eating.
