I enjoyed the fish and chips in Quality Fish. We ordered large Cod & Haddock. Both were great and valuable. I also loved the authentic design of the restaurant. Will definitely visit again.Recommended dishesCod and Chips, Cod
A family favourite. They do one of best fish and chips in London. Friendly service. Great value and good quality. Lovely.
This was my first visit to this fish & chip restaurant, as I was taking an elderly friend who has been many times before. I’m not a lover of fish & chips, having had bad experiences elsewhere. However, I was most impressed by the friendly team and the fantastic way they looked after my friend. We ordered cod and chips, one small and one large, one with mushy peas and one with onion rings. The portion sizes were well worth every penny spent and the food tasted excellent. I loathe huge amounts of heavy batter, so I was delighted to find just the right amount, which was not oily. Chips were excellent. My friend enjoyed her mushy peas as much as I enjoyed my onion rings. We both had a cup of tea with our meal. Although we were going to go for a dessert, it was not to be as we were both full, and extremely satisfied!! I see from some people’s reviews that they are negative about the decor. Sure, it’s a little dated, but it’s absolutely fine, clean and more than serves its purpose. Likewise I see sone moan about the food. Speaking as I find, I had no qualms whatsoever. I’d definitely return anytime and I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone. As the restaurant now take card payment, it makes life so much easier. Well done to the entire team. We will be back, for sure!!
Pretty much perfect! Pre game day feed, fantastic interior, time capsule stuff. Service lovely, attentive and prompt. Food all we could ask for but Curry Sauce was a bit lacking. Will be back for sure!
The best old school style fish & chips in Richmond. I love how the inside hasn’t changed in years
Despite its name there is nothing quality about this fish. Actually, it’s not even worth the napkins used to smear the grease off your lips, because that’s all you’re getting from here - grease. The chips… were soft, soggy and undercooked, the cod was also full of sog, tasteless and the batter was falling apart. The tartar sauce was this meal’s only saving grace.
Great!!! One of the best Fish and chips places I’ve been to in london.
Very good fish and chips in a no nonsense cafe. The waitress was lovely and friendly and the service second to none. I wish there were more traditional fish and chip shops with seating areas in the UK. It’s a very nice way to enjoy a great British tradition.
If you want something quality go somewhere else. As if this is a large, what is a small? The taller worker was both rude and inadequate; you asked if I wanted it open or closed and I said “closed please” - so that means: I don’t expect to see chips hanging out of the paper when you hand it to me. Your colleague with the top knot came over to provide some actual customer service and wrap it properly when I asked why you didn’t wrap it properly in the first place; after you told me you “couldn’t wrap it anymore because it already had 2 sheets on it.” When I politely asked you to wrap it more. At this point I should’ve known the Chips would be trash - you could taste the stale oil - I ate a handful and ended up throwing the rest in the bin and walking down to another chip shop: Pier 1 The chips from pier 1 are night & day to these… That being said a handful out of these and the portion was almost half gone. So again if you want anything quality go somewhere else.
Place looks cute and like a classic fish and chips restaurant. But they don’t know how to make fish and chips.
