The gym itself has great equipment and the staff I’ve interacted with have been great.nThis is where the positives end. Other gym users who have no idea what they’re doing and are left unsupervised by staff are literally unavoidable. From people vaping in the free weights that are left unorganized after staff members have organised them, people using equipment as it was not intended to be used…the list goes on. This is what is expected for a cheap gym, so I’m on to somewhere else. I feel staff could be more instrumental in making sure members are using equipment properly and safely, and it goes without saying to shower before the gym. The smells in this place from users can get pretty bad!nAlso, one of the front scan-in doors is almost always broken, leading to a wait to either enter or leave the actual gym itself. Where is your membership money going? There’s also a lot of machines down or broken, this is probably due to people not knowing how to use them and staff not stopping them doing whatever it is to break them.nWas great to get me back after an injury, but now, it really is a bad experience overall. If you want a gym where people know how to behave towards other gym users and where staff probably encourage this, then steer clear of this place.
This gym is impressive, boasting a wide array of equipment that caters to nearly every fitness need. From free weights and CrossFit setups to squat bars and cardio machines, it truly has everything one could ask for to get in shape. However, there are a couple of drawbacks worth noting.nnFirstly, the atmosphere can be a bit off-putting; some members aren't the friendliest, which might make it challenging for newcomers to feel welcomed or supported in their fitness journey. Additionally, the parking situation is quite stringent. You need to reserve a parking spot in advance; otherwise, you risk receiving a hefty fine of £100, even after going through the appeal process, which can be frustrating. It’s crucial to remember that you’re only allowed 2.5 hours of parking, which could be a tight timeframe depending on your workout plans.nnOverall, while the gym offers excellent facilities and a variety of workout options, it's important to be mindful of the atmosphere and the strict parking regulations.
The gym is always spotless, with cleaning stations everywhere and a team that keeps everything in great condition. It makes working out here so much more enjoyable! Also, this gym is open 24/7 – perfect for my unpredictable schedule!
Some bloke always hanging around, does loads of classes makes noise and dresss up for stuff ... Oh wait that's me, other than me it's a great gym
Got a parking fine despite being a member – poor communicationnnI recently visited this gym and ended up with a parking fine, even though I’m a member. There was a sign, but it wasn’t very clear. It says parking is free for members, but you’re required to enter your vehicle registration inside the gym. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice that part, and nothing was mentioned at reception either.nnI appealed the fine, explaining that I’m a member and it was an honest mistake, but the appeal was rejected. It feels really unfair — especially since I wasn’t trying to avoid any rules, just wasn’t properly informed.nnThis has left a very bad impression. I came to focus on fitness, not to be penalised over unclear parking instructions. Be warned: if you visit, you need to register your car every single time, or you risk getting fined — even as a paying member.
